Good Morning All
((((Smokey))))
Hello again Amie
Friday at last!
Paperwork, washing and some housework this morning then need to visit a client 1 hour away at lunchtime. Have to be home by 2.45 as DS school are having a meeting about what they are doing this year, when homework with be set and other stuff.
Very quiet weekend planned as have no money but thats ok, will have lots of free entertainment walking the dogs down the beach and of course Strictly starts properly Saturday.
Anyway have a good day all, off now to make DD her cup of tea.

Morning all,
Looks like another bright day here, although its turning really cold here at night and first thing. I am going to look for new hot water bottles today, my one has finally died, mind you it belonged to my nan when she was a young girl and she must have died 15 years ago, so its done well
Off to w**k again today, still last day then four off, and its friday :T :T , and I finish at 2.15 :T :T .
Not sure what we are having for tea, its either fahitas or a take away curry, will decide later, whichever we have, we will have the other tomorrow, so makes no difference really.
Will swish and swipe before work today, and get the washing out, I managed to empty the basket last night and wash it all, so hopefully it will all dry today, ready for the next lot of uniforms and work clothes  .

Morning all,
Mioliere, I know what you mean too, I would be completely lost without my computer...(and not just for Uni/Office work!). We don't realise quite how much we depend on them.....
Smoky, as others have said, you are doing so well ((((((((((hugs))))))))) to you.
Beth, how did you learn to do all this stuff????? I am only just learning how to put shelves up (though now there is no stopping me, lol!!!). It is satisfying, I do agree with you there.
AnnieBL, no you are not an evil Mum. I have an ongoing battle with my 16 year old who is most aggreived that I think she should do anything in the house... she's very busy with college you know!!!! Hope your DS's ankle feels a bit less sore today.
Hope all those with imminent days off or holidays manage to make the most of them & the nice weather stays....
(((((((((hugs)))))))))))for all those needing them too.
I am waiting for my Ikea delivery today, so this weekend I will be putting up 3 flatpack wardrobes. I've done one of this type of wardrobe before & it was pretty easy - and that means by Sunday hopefully I'll be able to sort my clothes out & see what I've got a bit better. Instead of wearing the same couple of things....
Need to pop out this morning & get a train ticket for middle DD who is going to Bognor & back on her own for the weekend (to stay with my sis). First time she'll have done the trip on her own...
Burgers for supper today, bought a pack of 4 quarterpounders in MrT for £1 so that's easy. Time to go & hang a wash out on the line, get more tea & wake up remaining DD's...!!
Have a good day all.Live your life until love is found, or love's gonna get you down" (credit to Mika!)0 -
Hi there. Amie - great to hear from you! Please keep posting from now on - I miss your posts!
Well, as you can see, I'm still online. I almost cried with relief when DS1's efforts finally paid off and it whizzed back into life. For something that didn't exist years ago, how did we get so dependent on these things?
Smoky - as Jet says, time is not the greatest of healers but what it does do is make it a little easier to bear. My Dad died almost forty years ago and sometimes it feels like yesterday; I have to remind myself that I was lucky to have had such a fantastic Dad no matter how short my time with him was. I can think of happy memories with him now and smile and even laugh, but in the early days I thought I'd never smile again.
RedRuby - I have lots of old stoneware pots that I have collected over the years and two of them are stone hot water bottles, so they will be pressed into action this winter. They are really effective and stay hot for ages; I'm so glad I've got them.
There seems to be a lot of talk about power cuts this winter so I'm glad I've got a gas oven and hob so at least I'll be able to cook, make cuppas and even have some heat if the electricity goes off. What a state for the country to be in; we're supposed to be the fourth largest economy in the world and it's starting to feel as if everything is imploding. I've got my cooking and cleaning down so low that I can't see where else I can economise. As for Christmas, I still have my Turkey from last year; if anyone remembers, I was ill all over Christmas and my Mum came to stay and we just cooked a turkey thingy that she had bought in Iceland, so at least I don't have to buy one this year. That's a few quid saved!
Well, I only came back on here to check that it was still working! When it crashed yesterday, my first thought was 'what am I going to do without MSE?' I've lost quite a lot of stuff but it's MSE I'd miss the most, not just for the moneysaving aspect but, much more importantly, because of all of you on this lovely thread. I barely gave the people I work for a thought! Luckily I wasn't in the middle of something for a customer when it crashed and I am so glad that I print off copies of practically everything I do.
Anyway, mioliering again but it's relief at being back in touch! I'd better go and clear up the breakfast things now.
See you all later.
