What tog duvets to buy and where from?

My son had a cheap supermarket duvet and hated it because it kept sliding about inside the cover, bunching up and not covering his toes etc.
I got him one from wilkinson for around the same price but the outside wasn't as slippy. An assistant told me those cheap duvets tend to be made out of recycled pop bottles, hence the slipperiness, not sure if that's true though. They look like melted plastic though, if you're daft enough to wash one in a machine that's not really big enough, they burn on contact with the machine drum.
The summer duvets fit into my machine but the winter ones don't.
Youngest has a sainsburys cheap duvet and that's fine. 10 tog is warm enough for him, but he also has thermal lined curtains to keep some of the cold out.
I never iron duvet covers, by the way. I fold them when I take them out of the dryer/off the line.52% tight0 -

:rotfl:They look and feel sooo much nicer ironed
Because life's too short - I can't cope with the amount of clothes ironing I've got, let alone superfluous stuff like duvet covers!!!!
DH has once again put the winter duvet on and it's about 13/15ish tog - I can't bare it, I'm not even menopausal and I sweat buckets under it, even though we have the windows open all year round. I can't stand being too warm in bed. I'd far rather something thinner and then have a hot water bottle or two on really cold nights.
I've just bought DS a duvet as someone suggested I could use a single duvet for him even though his bed is cot bed sized (toddler bed). So I bought him a 7ish tog duvet from Argos which was about £6. His window is open too but every night since he's had it it's been thrown off when I've gone to check on him. He obviously takes after me!!! And him and DD also have some fleece blankets for extra cold snaps!
JxxAnd it looks like we made it once again
Yes it looks like we made it to the end0
