DS is doing a 25 mile walk and an overnight camp with scouts, and DD is out to an overnight party tomorrow. So the plannign for the weekend is pretty fluid
 Friday - fish and chips
Saturday - veggie chilli, HG baked potatoes, HM bread rolls, HG salad; Jamie's toffee apple tart, fruit salad
Sunday - beef and dumplings, HG sweetcorn, beans, carrots
Monday - seeking inspiration from some cubed turkey leg I bought on a whim :rotfl: :rotfl:
Tuesday - chilli, rice, HM naan, HG salad
 Wednesday - questadillas, HG salad
Thursday - spinach and ricotta pasta
 Friday - pizza
I made HG roasted pepper and tomato, and cheese and olive bread for lunch today. There's plenty for tomorrow, too. I still have some cake left, but will be making muffins and buterfly buns tomorrow.

I'm using up meat from the freezer this week, in preparation for a frugal October (want to see if we can manage on just my salary, given the uncertainty around OH's job - he works for HBOS ...). It is also the first week of the undergrad teaching year - no tutorials until the second week - and the last week before Christmas when I'm able to take my time in the morning and get home before 6. Oh joy.
Saturday: moussaka - I already have lamb mince, an aubergine, some feta and some greek yoghurt (I mix yoghurt, feta & an egg for the topping). Children will have the mince bit with some potato.
Sunday: stir-fried duck in plum sauce, rice, steamed veg
Monday: lamb souvlaki (but not on skewers), salad, wraps
Tuesday: sausage, pasta tossed in a hm tomato sauce, salad
Wednesday: pork chops in apple sauce, baked potatoes, green veg
Thursday: fish fingers, beans and chips
Friday: chilli with tortilla chips, guacamole & rice (served without chilli for children)
Lunches for me: I already have 2 portions butternut squash & coconut soup, 2 portions chilli soup (like chilli but soggy) and 2 portions beef & barley soup stashed in the freezer. I will take these in a flask with a sandwich. OH does his own thing and the children have school lunch. I might make a batch of lentil soup during the weekend but have to do some work (I get paid in books for this one so it's a nice bonus).Mortgage started on 22.5.09 : £129,600Overpayments to date: £3000June grocery challenge: 400/6000
