The ultimate incentive to get debt free, can I do it by New Years?

My oh isn't particularly mse, but he does tend to not spend as much as me. He will spend money on hs lunch a lot of days and also if he pops to shop can spend a tenner on sweets, he gets by though and he has no debt so he is lucky really0

I've been trying to train him but I fear I'm fighting a losing battle! He can't get his head around Quidco and only knows of Amazon to buy things from but doesn't usually give himself time to order online i.e. he buys my birthday present the day before rather than plan in advance! And he's like your OH (Flower) in that if he saves money he'll go right out and spend the saving on rubbish!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0

Decided not to go to town, have a rare moment in the house alone so I'm indulging in some really terrible music, namely BWO. The shame. The lead singer has amazing hair.
Have you managed to get any tickets Tete?
OH is quite good with money when he wants to be, he'll never pay more than he has too. But he buys lunch everyday, and like Wendz OH he spends so much on sweeties!0 -
I was really lucky in that I had a whole week with NIM where there was no option of it being sexual due to me being in a relationship, but it gave us an amazing oppertunity to get to know one another without there being any expectation of it being anything more. If we hadn't then we might not be where we are today, as on the face of it he's not my usual type, too clean and happy.
I love my ben & jerries ice-cream book! Have an ice-cream maker, never used it yet though as never had space to store the ice-cream!
NIM was turned down from the police on the grounds that you cant apply if you have been a uk resident under 3 years (why don't they publish that?!) however they urged him to try again once he fulfilled this criteria.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
Debt September 20th 2022 £2991.68- 96.92% paid off0 -
Just had to Wiki BWO- never heard of them! Only an hour and a bit until I can get out of here for my fight with the LHA! This day has dragged; I'm so freakin' bored! What am I going to do for the rest of the week when I have to work late to make up for leaving early today???Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. I'm really sorry about NIM being turned down by the police! That sucks! It's so strange that Ireland is so close and yet classed as completely not Britain despite the top part being classed as such... I always forget that Ireland is not part of us! I hope he finds a good job for 3 years that will give him loads of good experience for the next time he applies.Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. What's BWO? Am I showing my age there? Nope, the pre-sale ticket things go on sale tomorrow at 9am but you have to be a member of the website I think to qualify for them, so that's what was freezing on me when I tried to register. Will try again later.
My OH's getting really MSE actually, he came up with that discount code all o his own, I was really proud of him!
On a financial point, I've just been and downgraded my A&L account from an online one with a better interest rate to a normal current account with a really low rate. This means though that I won't get charged if I don't put any money in. To be honest I've only been getting about 70p per month on a £2k balance anyway, and that money has now been moved to my ISA so I have 17p in the account now! Just waiting for the transfer to go through on my old ISA (they're dawdling), then I'll know how much I need to make up the £9k but it should only be £70 or so I think. I feel better having done that though and knowing I won't be charged an 'under-funding fee' again! Grr...Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
