She needs to get wiv da kids, loads of people find their perfect partner online, it's a heck of a bigger choice than the local pub! A woman at work (the previously mentioned 'Wiggy') met her 'boyfriend' (is it a boyfriend when you're both in your 50s?) when she accidentally sent a text to him instead of her DIL (he somehow had her DIL's old phone number!) and they got chatting. I keep telling OH's brother (never had a girlfriend, stays in his room playing Final Fantasy online all day) to meet some of his online friends, he could meet his perfect woman after all!

Dinah I met OH over the internet too, there's nothing geeky about that anymore I don't think, it seems to be how most people meet now.

I have to admit when Tete made her map comment I instantly thought 'I think the Library has some of those..' I did get exicted when I found out that in 190-something my house used to be a ..... field!

Hmmm, thats at least 3 of us in here (Tete, Cinny and myself) who met our OHs online, I guess we really are the geek girls!

I've never actually met anyone online, the closest I got to it was my ex; we met on a work training course and then got chatting months later when he rang my office for something and we e-mailed each other for ages, and he pestered me to meet him for ages and I finally agreed to meet him... amazing how easy it is to get in touch with people now!

I think if I hadn't of met OH online we would of met anyways because it was through friends. Well, that's my excuse.

I met my OH online aswell, but was kinda like cinny. A friend gave him my email address, so i guess its kinda different. And Dinah, how the hell did you keys end up in the freezer???

The story of how I met OH is so romantic (not! LOL!)... we met in the work canteen when I overheard him telling his friends about seeing Faulty Towers on DVD in a sale and I asked him which shop he was talking about! He stopped me in the warehouse the following week when I was having a skivey mooch around and asked if I'd bought it and we started talking. I started doing lots more skivey mooches in the warehouse to 'accidentally' run into him and our love blossomed! Awwww!

Oooh, it's free cone day at Ben and Jerry's today! Check the website to see if there's one near you! Trying to figure out of I can get to the Cineworld in boro tonight before 5pm but pretty sure that it is impossible! Would have been a good excuse to drag OH to see 17 again though!
