    Hi

I just wanted to say that you are doing so well and I love your story. Your boyfriend with his sexy Irish accent sounds so sweet (I love Irish men - big Boyzone fan :D ).

Hmm, I wonder if my boyfriend can do an Irish accent :rotfl: .

Keep on going and I will be following your progress :T .

Thanks Ehallett - I'd certainly try asking your bf, but be prepared to be asked to dress as Lara Croft/put on a Swedish accent and blonde wig/play naughty nuns in return ;) The look on his face when he's asked would be worth doing it for! But then I have a pretty wicked sense of humour, poor OH gets wound up something rotten sometimes!

Went and got a few more items out the shed tonight to list. One of them is my breadmaker. I really don't fancy taking it on a nice wander down to the post office as it's a similar weight to me I think, so I'm going to try sticking it on the intranet at work. The ammount of adverts placed on there has skyrocketed in the last few weeks, but a lot still seems to go. Would save on listing fees, and the afore mentioned lugging to the post office. And most importantly, would cheekily count it as one of my 10 a day but would take no where near as long as a real ebay listing :T

You could list the breadmaker on Ebay and make it 'collection only' that way the buyer would pay you cash on collection (so no paypal fees! ;) ) and could possibly go real quick, too!

Oooh I like the way you think. Will give it to monday on the works intranet, to save on all the fees, failing that, I'll try it your way. Great idea :T

Aye I noticed that on the list 10 a day thread, so I didn't upload the stunning 4 items I managed to list before I fell asleep at 9.30 again! Hopefully will manage another 10-20 by Saturday, technically 30 is what I should achieve but with OH arriving tomorrow I can't see me paying much attention to my listings! But then I should really power through my 10 a day target next week when he does all the comics for me, delegating is awesome. ;)

Received a letter this morning from the council, forwarded from my old address. Apparently if I don't pay my council tax bill immediately I loose the right to pay by installment. Interestingly I moved out of that house 2 months ago, and I spoke to the council tax department by phone and by letter to tell them I was moving out, and was told I was entitled to a bit of money back! So going to give them a call this afternoon, and ask what they are playing at!

Sold another book this morning, £8.02, should clear £6.50 profit after postage. Was out in the shed at 7am before coming to work, hunting about for this book as I don't plan on going to the post office tomorrow and don't want to have them waiting until monday as it is a book on alternative treatments for M.E. and seems best to send it asap. Still no bids on any of my ebay stuff I put up on Sunday, and very few watchers either

  • I grew very disillusioned with ebay earlier in the year when all my things seemed only to go for 99p and for all the hassle involved it didn't seem worth it anymore. A lot of people on here seem to have real success with Amazon though, you certainly seem to be!

I'd reccomend Amazon, if you're not in a rush. Postage is fixed though, which is fine for little paperbacks and CDs and DVDs, but if you are trying to sell a hardback or thick paperback you need to be careful not to sell it for 1p or even £1 as you may well not even make back the postage. The fact that they don't take fees until you sell is great, although they are a bit heafty when something does sell.

Yey! Came back from site and had 3 emails about the breadmaker, decided to go with first come first served. So that's another £10 in the kitty, will deduct it when it's sat in my grubby little hand tomorrow evening. I think I might put other bulky things on the work place first, although I think this went so quick because it's credit-crunch friendly, and given we haven't had any annual pay increase this year most of my work are probably avid moneysavers now!

    hi just found your thread.
you sound very motivated and your signature show's you're going great guns but then the incentive of BF moving over is great.
I had to wait for a whole year of my engagement before OH could move to me, now he's here and things are coming together, and i seem to be able to find a bit more to knock off the O/draft now i'm not saving for the wedding.
Think i'll subscribe to your diary as you've managed to get me interested again in trying to do more than just the usual DD's if you know what i mean.
My next target (which i should match next month) is to get and keep my debt under my annual salary, it feels like such an achievement.
