My cat regularly pulls her claws out herself, they have like layers i think - you know like snake sheds its skin? Well cats kind of shed the top layer of their claws (at least mine does anyway!)

To be honest i panicked aswell the first time i saw my cat actually pulling at her claws, but now we're used to it. Sometimes we'll be sat watching tv and all we can hear is her biting her claws!! Oh that and for some reason her whiskas seem to be falling out, now im not sure if that is normal?!

Cornwall Cinny - yay! You can get tickets for around £35ish if you book in advance and use your young persons railcard.

I am too old to have a young persons railcard now - boohoo

Doesn't your other half drive anyway? Would very much doubt it would cost more than £40 round trip. Only costs us £45 to go all the way to London from up past Darlington and that's in a fuel burning 16v car!

Cornwall is off the cards now, OH can only get friday-saturday-sunday off so wouldn't be worth the travel for one day, as pretty as it is! *hmph* Wales would be another option, was thinking Blackpool just to be abit goofy but you have to pay extra for parking, but if I'm getting the room for £9 say £5 for parking isn't too painful really!

My kitties drop claws too Dinah, although it is quite alarming finding one on your pillow (like a kitty threat) it's perfectly normal! I paniced the first time too!

Wendz - Your picnic sounds lovely! After attacking the washing and ironing pile with full force I treated myself too an hour soaking up the sun reading I Capture the Castle. It's great it finally being sunny.

I had a stomach flipping moment when I thought I'd broken ours today - turns out the dogs had just knocked a waterbowl over. Hope yours gets fixed soon - I wish I could offer some helpful tips coming from a family of plumbers but our boiler hasn't worked for 2 years so that shows how helpful they are.

Found this on the grabbit board - might be of some use for you london ladies http://www.sciencemuseum.org.uk/visitmuseum/events/events_for_adults.aspx

Dinah - I read the £9 sale for the travelodge wrong. It's 6am! Can't really act too shocked as I get up at 5:30 anyways! Just thought I'd correct myself as I'm sure I told you 6pm.
