Dinah - Couldn't you be a bit cheeky and get one of your photos from Egypt put onto canvas for one of the months? I can't paint for the life of me, if I did this for OH he'd just get stick people waving or something.

I don't think there's anything bigheaded about wanting to keep a record of your work, it'll be a nice thing to look back on. Our uni is doing short courses over the summer for free, I might do Introduction to Painting or Life Drawign or something .... hmmm ....

Nope, Egpty will be painted. I want to make loads of paintings to effectively decorate a wall with a mural of our relationship as time goes by. Plus it helps me remember all the little romantic events otherwise I might forget. (secretly I do have a bit of a fantasy about our kids pointing to them and asking NIM to tell them the story of that one tonight... but shhh!)

You should Tete, would be very relaxing. At the moment I keep almost all the paintings, but over time I would really like a record of them all its true.

She's FAAAAAAR too modest about her painting abilities. Her style is unique to herself, i've never seen paintings like them. In fact I liked them ever before I met herself. Now I'll be chaining her to her desk for the weekend so she catches up on those painings I'm due.

Ditto! Aren't we being so cute and mushy today?! That's kind of why I scrapbook, I want my kids to look at the pictures and the stories around them and see what their parents were like when we were young!I'd love to be able to paint but I really can't draw. I can barely stay in the lines when I'm colouring in! If I try to do something 'abstract' it just looks odd, I think I try too hard to make it look neat!
