Aww, NIM sounds like such a gem!
I'm starving, having Chicken and Mushroom pie for lunch from the work canteen, mmm, can't wait! OH doesn't know how well I eat at work, he thinks I just have sandwiches for lunch, LOL!
I don't think that my area has any shops that need MS-ers, there's never anything for me! I got an e-mail on Tuesday morning about possible Argos MS available, by the time checked the website later that day there was nothing! I don't think I can count on MS for extra income as I haven't done one since last year!
Talking about extra income, I think I may 'tweak' the £1000 in 100 days and aim to get £1500 by the end of August. I've been looking at a lovely restaurant (strangely enough called The Restaurant!) for our wedding breakfast and it'll cost about £1300 for 34 guests (but we may trim that down) for food and booze, add transport back to the evening venue (that we haven't decided on but most likely a big party with a hog roast at the rugby club!) it'll be about £1500 so I need to find it from somewhere! It'll be a start on the wedding fund and nice to know that at least part of it has been paid for!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Well done on the book selling Dinah! I'm going to have to see if any of my books are worth selling on Amazon, I'm terrible, I usually just donate my books to the charity shop. Which is good in a sense but not good for my purse!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. I never understand why it's called a 'breakfast' because it's always in the afternoon isn't it? Maybe if you did actually do everyone scrambled eggs on toast it might not cost as much! It's a good idea to know WHAT you're saving for though. I guess every £2 you make you can think, 'well, that's a pint for the best man' or something?!
Yep I got the jacket PoddleVery pleased indeed, it's lovely and purple. (Not so much a wholesome weekend with the party on Saturday night though...) The devil on my shoulder is telling me to encourage you to spend on Oxford St, because it'll make me feel better about spending £72 on a glorified kagoul, but the DFW angel and culture vulture is saying 'Nooooo! Go to a free museum!!!' Ooh, and get yourself a TEFL and travel the world, it'll be amazing, in fact I might come with you!
Good going on the book Dinah, you should be on the apprentice yourself as you're so enterprising with things like that and those Monsoon dresses!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
I have rules, if a book is only worth 50p or less then it doesnt go on Amazon, it goes on RiSi. If after 6 months on RiSi still no one wants it, it goes to charity. Also any books without ISBNs or really thick books that wont make loads on amazon go to charity too.
All areas tend to need MSErs, where are you again? Most jobs get snapped up in mins, but some sit there for weeks. NIM has been doing big round trips down to Thirsk/Ripon/Catterick as there seem to be no MSers there. Keep getting confused who is where!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Unfortunately I'm just kinda of good at making money by chance, I don't actually have any drive for business, just want my big house with a family kitchen, veggie plot and lots of kids! Dad always says I could sell sand to the Arabs I'm so good at selling stuff!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Instead of staying in and doing some free baking I decided to go into town and get some bits to make a carepackagey kind of thing for OH. He's completely broke this month already, doesn't help Ladbrokes sent him on a 100 mile trip and only gave him £10 for petrol! Got him bits for lunch, his favourite snacks and drinks. Plus asda had loads of bath stuff for men for £1 so grabbed lots of that too. Shockingly only came too £11!
NIM sounds such a sweetie Dinah, and your OH too Birdie!! I love it when OH does little bits like that out of the blue. Bless 'em!
Tete - The jacket sounds lovely. Have a great weekend, OH went up Scafell Pike a bit ago. Says it's fantastic.
Go to Oxford Street Poddle! I know I shouldn't tell you too, but even for a bit of window shopping it wouldn't hurt..0 -
Awww, now you're The Lovely One Cinny! I wish you were my sister so you could look after me like you look after your OH (any everyone else, you're a real sweetie!)I wish I could head up a mountain but until OH's knee is back to rights (by the end of the year! D'oh!) we'll be staying on flat ground!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0
