Do it! Do it!
Ugh, I've just checked my bank, don't know where the money goes! I'm seriously going to stop with the savings for a couple of months I think, will need to for Paris spending money and if we book a cheapy hol as well. Hmm, may have to rethink savings targets for August... Where's my calculator?Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
I'm crossing everything that NIM gets the job this evening and the guy offers good hours. Will make things so much easier. Am planning on putting £250 a month aside for holidays (spending money, one big annual holiday, maybe a little other holiday and a couple of weekends away. OFC with all the Ireland trips considering needing this budget to be at £300 per month), and £200 a month aside for car repairs, will just take some of the pressure off.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Crikey, enough posts to read in one go there!
And as for not coming back engaged, you've plenty of time for that! Although it is alittle disappointing *sigh* But ooh, did you mention Camel pictures?!
Glad to hear (read?!) you had a lovely time though, you really did deserve the break! Shame about the big triangle buildings too, but snorkling sounds so much more fun anyways!
As for all my numbers in the sig going my savings are shamefully low, and will be almost wiped out with vespa insurance ect at the end of the month. Back to saving and being extra [STRIKE]tight[/STRIKE] frugal to save up. I'll have my new targets up in a jiffy though!
As for using the savings to wipe out the debt it might be an idea, it would give you a completely new slate to work off of for you and NIM. Wave goodbye to the ghastly debts once and for all! Although, could you keep yourself like a pound in debt so you don't have to leave this part of the forum?!
Good luck to NIM for the job interview too!!
Birdie - I'm going to see 17 Again tomorrow, and F&F with OH on Friday.
Is it passable? (fast and furious that is) or will it be a matter of catching 40 winks using the popcorn as a pillow?
All the updates and what not my noggin in frazzled so I'll leave it at that, and most likely randomly comment on something later!0 -
This is the farmer, he called back and said he had an oppertunity. Not full time at first but with potential. Basically doing the educational tours with the kids a couple of days a week. So this would be in addition to the call centre rather than instead of for the time being.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Nah I'm not going anywhere, however, this diary has now become of epic lengths, so I'm thinking I could start a new diary on this board to go with the fresh start, linked into the old one.
Will try to work out how to put camel pictures on facebook and link to here later, as I can never work out how you all manage to post pictures directly to the thread (happy to learn if anyone can tell me!)Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I know, the last few weeks at work I've had to actually work!
My sister has gone to the shopping centre so I've loaded her up with all the bits I was going to trade in tomorrow - 2 DS (bit of a gamble on one as it's the seriously cave man looking one) 7 DS games + Guitar Hero, 2 wii games and 2 PS2 games (another gamble - they are pretty old!) hoping I'll net quite a bit as it's gonna have to be mine and OHs entertainment spends for the next few months now I'm trying to get back to my MSE ways!
ETA: Need a bit of help for my wise MSE chums! I've been talking to my mum and I think another reason I've been in a foul mood is work. I love working there but it's so slow paced, my brain is turned off all day and there just isn't enough work. So in September I'm going to give up one of my days and go to college; to either further myself in accountness (Plan to one day move away with Richie and open a bookies - I do the accounts and he does the odds!) or to do something I can get my teeth into like Politics (Plan to one day rule the UK and claim my toothbrush as an expense) or Bakery course (Plan to be the size of a whale and be able to guess measurements by eye) I have that horrible crossroads feeling - sorry to hijack your thread Dinah!0 -
Lovely to hear that you both had a good time. Both feeling refreshed I hope.
I have recently done two MS jobs and both have had queries today. One it looks like I will have do again because a bought a scrap book at that wasn't on the list. I thought that the list was for examples but apparently not. Beginning to think is it all worth the hassle.Total debt Feb 2012 = £54354.11 😳
