Yes, haven't we all done well discussing our finances?! I feel like I'm letting the side down by admitting slightly unnecessary spending, but I bought the dress below...

    ?qlt=95&layer=0&size=174,235&layer=1&resMode=sharp&src=5051863319537&size=174,235&defaultimage=default_listing_George

£14! Obviously I won't wear it with a white bra like they've done in the pic! I think it's going to be really sunny again tomorrow so not sure what I'll wear it with (black tights and black boots might look a bit wintery, not too mention dull!). I have some greeny-grey stacked heels which might look nice, and a bit different, with a bright purple coat - tis the same as Nancy's in Hollyoaks! *shame*

Hmm, not sure about the invoicing Tete, how much is it worth? Might you have until the end of the week like for ISAs? I have bad and lazy moments too (like being disorganised and having to take taxi instead of bus) which can be an expensive habit, but as you said yourself - you can only do what you can! No point getting stressed out over it :D

Hiya Lara, took so long writing my last post I didn't see you there! I did look at the Barclays one and can't remember why I didn't fancy it, I think it was because I wanted a fixed rate...? My head's frazzled now!

Poddle that dress is lovely, love the frill! And £14 isn't bad at all! Expecially if you get a fab new job out of it! Good luck for tomorrow I'll have my fingers crossed for you!

Bad Tete! I'd do the same though, but I'm a self confessed Bad Lazy Person!

I like the dress Poddle, and I like the sound of the shoes and purple coat, you'll look lovely!

I've only just got caught up at work; the 'hiccup' took 2 and a half hours to sort and I've been like a whirling dervish since! I can't wait till home time... only 5 hours to go!

Goodness it's getting crazy in London this evening - the headlines are 'LONDON IN LOCKDOWN' (!) I hope we manage to get up to Kings Cross for the Eurostar. I bet there won't be half the trouble they're expecting.

I'm quite gutted, as I work right in town and would have liked to have a good old nosey at all the protesting! And I would have liked my own opportunity to say shame on the bankers that have treated the economy as a huge cash machine.

One of the free papers last year started anonymous columns written by City traders called 'City Boy' and 'City Girl'. They were fascinating and showed a glimpse of the incredible money and luxury, glamour and status alongside no social life and competitive office clashes and terrible bosses. After reading that before the crash I am sure it has made more Londoners want to have their say.

It is all a bit nuts! I'm sure you're right that they're just over-hyping it. I only have to get from Victoria to Euston Road for interview so I'm hoping that it will be okay...

I've read a few of those columns, Lara, and while it's hard to find sympathy for these City types I totally understand the protests. As long as it doesn't get in the way of my life, right... ;)

Have a fab time in gay Paris - I think you deserve a break after the stress of the old phD application. Enjoy! x

    Evening Girls!

Yikes, another 2-10 Birdie? I'd be shattered. I'll confess I've worn jeans on the Pashley - nice smart skinny ones with a mac though, so I didn't look like a scruff ball! I really like todays DOTD loving the simple style of the last few!!

Went to see Marley and Me with OH - the last 15 minutes were a total sob fest! Thankfully when the lights came up everyone else was all red eyed so I didn't feel like a complete fool. OH paid for it all (felt guilty!) so I managed not to spend a single penny. Will make it up to him though.

Love the dress you got from Asda Poddle, sounds perfect with the tights, shoes and coat. You'll knock 'em dead.

I remember hearing about the strikes on Radio4 last week, hope it won't effect you two too much. Have fun on your break tomorrow Lara!

I think after todays money talk my noggin is broken, OH commented on my lack of money talk over dinner. :o

Hehe, even your OH knows what a MSE you are! I watched Marley and Me at the weekend with OH, he was getting quite upset at it as it reminded him of his first dog and he said I had a heart of stone for not crying, it's not my fault I don't cry at films! I cry plenty in real life, I don't want to cry for fun too!

OH and I were watching the news yesterday when they were going on about the protests but we'd missed what people were protesting and they didn't say it again so I suggested we pop down for the day to find out! He said we could take a couple of blank banners to fill in once we knew what was going on LOL! Just as I was coming back from my 'lunch break' (7.30-8.00!) someone turned the TV to BBC1 and there was 'breaking news' that Obama has arrived. How is that 'breaking news'? It's not like he turned up unannounced or they shot the plane down or anything! When I see breaking news I expect disasters that can't wait to be told, not a bloomin plane landing!

Morning girls! I like that DOTD too Birdie, like the little ties on the shoulder, bit different. I don't really fancy Marley and Me I have to say, I'm definitely a Cat Person. I saw a book in Tesco the other day called Dewey the Library Cat or something - a true story - I might treat myself to that one day!

I guess it'll be fairly quiet on here with Poddle at interview and Lara en route to Paris - Good Luck girls, hope you both manage to get there ok! Poddle, you'll be great and Lara have a lovely break!

I did 50 lengths last night which is round about a mile so I was quite please with that, still a fair few to go though!! Going to have an uber-finance day today as I have lots to do at work and going to see about my ISAs later. Off for a coffee, have a good day everyone! x

Well done on 50 lengths Tete! And I hope the interview goes well today Poddle!

I'm sleepy today after finishing late last night so I'm quietly hiding in my corner hoping that no-one expects me to do anything! I'll be even sleepier on Friday as I'm going to see James Morrison tomorrow night in Leeds so it will be well past midnight by the time I get home! I'm not a night owl, any time after 10pm is too late for me!
