Oh yeah, DOTD! I've been sitting with it on my computer for a few hours now and forgot to post it! Here you go!

That was so sweet of your mum Lara! And such a cute way to do it too.

Ooh, the dress is lovely! Really like that one (but then I've liked them all!)

I don't know about the card, it's a good idea on one hand but on the other, it's too grown up for me!

You are a Big Girl now Cinny! Maybe just give it a few months, you've already opened up your ISA which is more grown up IMO!

I like the dress, it is very simple so I can wear some pretty bright shoes for a little hint of colour when I walk! Looking at the skirt I might have to kick quite hard when I walk so you can actually see the shoes!

haha, you'd be stomping about all day! I was meaning to say - when i went to the cinema on saturday I saw two big red double decker buses (like the ones on on the buses) with 'Wedding - Church Party' on the front. Full of what looked like the bride and grooms family and friends. Kept on thinking 'must tell Birdie!!'

Not long to go until home time now!

Gonna spend 15minutes looking at CC then call OH - Do you think CC come in pink?! :D

Hello, nice to find you all here keeping Birdie company! Not long to go now :)

Just got back from vile spinning class - actually really enjoyed it as she ended with 15 minutes of Abba and we were pedalling our asses off whilst waving our arms in the air to Chiquitita...

I love the DOTD! It's very sophisticated with the shrug too.

Cinny, I reckon it's definitely worth getting a credit card - just to avoid same situation as Birdie through not having any credit rating. Even if you can't get a 0% it doesn't matter if you pay it off every month. Good idea about cc with loyalty points - or how about a cashback credit card? Then you could put most of your everyday purchases on it and set up a direct debit to pay off the whole balance every month. Thus avoiding interesting and getting a tidy sum back every year! OH and I have a Citi CC which we use just to put our petrol on as we get 6% back (and 3% on other purchases) and there are usually some good deals on these.

Righto, I'm off to have dinner - STARVING! Hope you've got supplies with you in the warehouse Birdie :D

    Ciao!

My sweet Mum sent us some Euros to take to Paris yay! So now we won't be so broke. She sent it anonymously with 'Feed the children in Paris appeal 2009' written under a picture of my nephew with chocolate all over his face. Very cool, she doesn't really do those things very often, so super nice when they come.

ps. That is very cool! Have a fab time, Lara... when do you go?

Yes, most definitely! Capital One tend to have a range of pics, Virgin do sexy pink and macho black and someone (could be Virgin) allows you to pay to upload your own image on to the card - so you could have a picture of Darcy on yours (the bike or the swoonsome man!) if you so desire:rotfl:

I knew about the Virgin pink (got one in Mum's name for emergencies- surely a Marc Jocobs Handbag is an emergency?) but not about putting your own pic on a card! Cool! Cashback card sounds like the way to go too, if you put all of your spending on it and move the money from your bank account into another straight away so you don't accidentally spend it again you could get a nice bit back!

Spinning class terrifies me, I don't think I'll ever be brave enough to go! A lady I work with went a few weeks ago and still has a sore bum, she thinks she did something to her coccsyx! I always knew exercise was bad for you!

I like the wedding bus idea! I've been looking at The Royal Hall in Harrogate wondering if they do weddings but it doesn't look like they have a license. I went to see a play there last week and it is so beautiful inside, all gilt and marble and lovely I was having dreams of getting married on the stage!

Omg - LOVE DOTD Birdie, that one is so gorgeous. It's definitely the nicest so far. Super sophisticated.

I'm off on Wednesday Poddle - woop! Super excited. I don't really deserve a holiday as I'm only back to work a few weeks, but it will be really nice.

Been a good girl and done some Quidco bits, £2 for a review and I applied for this Vanquis dodgy credit card for people with pants credit (£20 Quidco) but I didn't even get accepted! Whoops, not sure about the credit card plan after all.
