I remember after going up Mam Tor with OH last year we decided we'd burnt off every last calorie in a massive pub meal - so went to the nearest pub and gobbled steak and chips, brownies and lots of pineapple and lemonade to wash it down with.
Decided I'm forcing him to come on a bike ride this Sunday, even if I have to pull him along on a bit of string!0 -
I think moaning does burn extra calories, and things like jumping over streams and things like OH makes me do. I pulled a muscle in my bum on Sunday (didn't know there were any in my bum!!) and it still hurts now!
OH called me GI Jane though and said he was proud of me. That was just before I fell in the other stream and then in the bog.

Oooh, poor Tete's bum! We haven't been able to do much walking recently thanks to OH's knee but it's getting better and he's keen to exercise it as all the physio he does now will aid his recovery after his operation (in April, bloomin' useless NHS waiting times!). Also, he can't do any more damage to his knee as the ligament has completely snapped and is floating around his shin area at the moment! I think our Sunday walk will probably be a walk to a local country pub for a nice big roast dinner!
We went to Brimham Rocks the weekend before Knee-Gate and I must have burned a chocolate fudge cake off with all the jumping and climbing about I did! OH actually got stuck on top of one of the rocks and I nearly died laughing- more exercise!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Ooh, I love Brimham Rocks!! OH and I had the biggest fight on the way there last summer because we couldn't find it! No walking for me this weekend though as OH's off to uni so just Beamish on Sunday. I'm really looking forward to my Friday night in by myself, is that terrible?Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Not at all! I encourage OH to go out because it is so nice to be on my own sometimes! I'm sure he enjoys being out as much as I enjoy having the sofa to myself!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. I told my Dad about the £60 plan and he laughed, how rude!
When I was in Cumbria we went to Boot in Eskdale, was boot-iful (hoho) I'm the one who makes a fool of myself when walking though, falling on my bum. Thankfully I have the navigational skills of a migrating bird to redeem myself, while OH is completely useless.
Around here is pretty boring for walks, all flat and in the woods (I do live in 'Robin Hoods County' what should I expect?) Have to drive miles to get a good walk which is pretty pointless. OH was a pretty keen walker, just seems to have lost his oomph now he's a full timer! Still hoping for that bike ride on sunday.0 -
DOTD:
How rude of your Dad to laugh at your plan Cinny! He should have at least until he was alone to laugh! We believe in you!
I kind of wish it was flatter here, there seem to be hills all over the place and I really don't enjoy them when I'm out on my bike! I usually get stuck halfway up then have to get off and push my bike the rest of the way!:rolleyes:Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. The more I look at this one the more I like it! Love the colour- slighty pinky/champagney, very nice - do you like it?
I don't like bikes, the saddles do bad things to me! I'm off now for the day so bonsoir les filles!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
That's just what I thought Birdie! He could of been a little nicer, i was passing him his lunch when he was driving afterall!
Oooh, todays DOTD is purdy! By the same companys that made yesterdays?
My mum has decided to go on a diet, and she isn't that strong willed so I've decided to join in to kind of spur her on, be nice if I can get a bit healthier along the way. So tonight, I will be trading chips for salad, lemonade for water, Chocolate biscuits for grapes *puts on Winston Churchill voice*
Have a nice night Ladies!0 -
Evening everyone
I#m on later tonight cos I was working late doing overtime then shopping. At least I managed to resist the chocolate and cakes in the supermarket so the diet continues. Went out for another run last night and once again my boyfriend managed it with no effort while I staggered behind like a reject from a nursing home :rotfl:
Cinny, your tampon dress is truly foul, sorry but it is. Looks more like a mould for a giant condom!! Birdie, I beg you, please don't take any more days off
All this talk of walks reminds me I'm doing a sponsored walk on Saturday for a dog rescue place near York. The long walk, which we're doing, is 17 miles. We're taking our 2 dogs and a spare one from the rescue (in case one of the others breaks down I guess?????) so it may take sometime but I'm thinking of the calories I'll lose.
Anyway, I'm off now. Night, night xxLet's start again (really need a kick up the bum now) :wall:Virgin CC £9793.710
