DOTD! I'm trying to stay away from blingy dresses but I can't find many plain dresses that I like!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0

Hmm, I do like the shape/style, nice ctraps, but not sure about the criss crossing. And the skirt is a bit plain - could do with a but more netting!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

It's very quiet on here today, where is everyone? I've barely done a thing all afternoon, just a Dooyoo review and read up on reviews of the Paris hotel I want to stay in
The Ongoing Paris Saga!
Definitely want a bit of sun this summer though, jealous of Dinah and her Egypt!

Afternoon Ladies!!
I like todays DOTD Birdie, I'd prefer it with just the crissy crossy ness on the waist. But that's just me!
Took my cheques to the bank, £50 the richer!Got my kitty cats their food, managed not to buy anything that wasn't on my (mental) list. Stopped into most of the banks and got leaflets on ISAs and pensions, so lots of bedtime reading now
Have a nice night everyone! Just remembered Heston Blumenthal is on later too!0 -
Evening everyone
How's it hanging? I've had a crap day at work and really need to find a new job but in this climate it's about as safe as it's gonna get. At least I've come home to some sensible conversation.....from the dogs :rotfl: OH is out at band practice (he's a singer in a rock band in these parts) so I'll stay on the computer for far too long instead of doing the ironing I should be doing!
Love the DOTD Birdie. I could see myself in that in the future. OH has been talking about us getting married in the future but as we're both divorced and in our 40's it would be a wrinkly wedding. Could start a new fashion trend....and the bride wore TENALADY (I don't really, honest!!!).
Right, off to wash up. Have a good evening xxLet's start again (really need a kick up the bum now) :wall:Virgin CC £9793.710 -

LOL Pilchard, you should do it - any excuse for a big party with all your friends and family at any age.
LOVE the neckline of the DOTD Birdie, so glad you're enjoying living with your OH, that's really exciting.
Dinah are you excited yet? I am excited for you! Lovely Egypt.
Happy St Paddy's everyone! I've had a great day but haven't gone out, feeling a bit of a sore throat / cold coming on but still in good cheer. Watched Ballykissangel instead, haha.
Cinny your bday surprise sounds very interesting. How cool are your parents?!
The Lancaster prof got back to me today with some suggestions for my proposal, still got a bit of work to do by the looks of it. The next funding deadline is not until the 17th April, so I have got a bit of time on my hands. Not sure if I am going to be able to reach the laptop plus fees target before October. Thinking about being a woose and letting the new computer slide. The one I have is about 6 years old but it still works. Thinking about Martin's mantra- do I really *need* it? I definitely want it! Such a bummer that Macs are so expensive. Perhaps I should just get a tiny netbook instead?
I was very naughty and bought something today - 2 pairs of really nice undies and 2 pairs of socks for OH for an anniversary present. Although they were half price at figleaves I still feel really guilty as the money is straight from my overdraft. No free delivery either argh! I haven't had to pay for delivery in years. Really looking forward to getting my pay cheque at the end of March and being back in the black.

Morning everyone
Pilchard - You should get married! Think of the pretty dress, and the food! And the forties aren't old, plus you have the age advantage of not needing to please everyone (well atleast my mother does  ) where as younger couples seem to want to please everyone. Hey, you could elope!
Lara - Cool is one word for my parents, bloody annoying is another! Wish they'd just tell me
Don't feel guilty about the undies, you need a little treat every now and then, well that's the excuse I'd use.
Maybe you could make do without the laptop, save for the fees then once that's saved start on the laptop fund?
Can't think of anything to do! Hoping the bed comes before 10 then I can fix it all together and get to work this afternoon. Now to plod around the house and mindlessly clean things. Have a nice day everyone!0 -
Do you want to come and mindlessly clean things in my house Cinny?
Lara, that sounds quite promising that there's another funding deadline.. Can you explain to me what it is exactly you're doing? Is it a proposal for a research project or something? I'm sure you probably did say ages ago but I can't remember. I agree with Cinny on the savings plan. Can't believe you don't get free delivery on knickers!! They're so light! Still, I always see underwear and socks as essentials (and must admit I've been known to go out and buy new when I haven't had chance to do any washing. 10 Hail Martins for me!!!)
I did a silly bratty thing last night. Got so sick of OH and trying to organise this bloody Paris trip and feeling like I'm being ignored and he doesn't really want to go, that I threw my phone at the wall (I even hesitated but thought that I dropped it on the kitchen floor the other day and it was ok :wall: - I often have little 6th sense things like this and ignore them!) - well it fell into three bits and when I put it back together the display is all cracked and won't work  Thank god for Martin and his 'How to unlock your phone for free', at least I've been able to put my new sim in my old phone, but seems like all my numbers and messages and stuff were saved to the phone as all I can see are all my old contacts and messages. Arg, serves me right but I'm kicking myself. I actually hated my new phone as it was cheap and nasty (as it's just proved) but could do without having to buy one, and without losing all my info too. Sorry for the little rant, I'm just so annoyed at myself. I've told OH I dropped it on the kitchen tiles but I know he'll see through that straight away and know I had a tantrumWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0
