Well ladies I became a gran mother today - baby Amber 7lb 4oz born at 9.39am. OH and I are going up at 7pm and it is killing me. No one but her OH is allowed up before then because she had a section. I will let your know so how cute she is in the flesh as I have only seen a photo:mad: and also what she smells like, I love that baby smell. OMG I can't wait.

Gosh I'm so slow at writing posts that loads more appear in the mean time!

Congratulations ROTE! That's super nice news :j hope you can keep it together for another hour and a bit!!

Congrats ROTE!! Think of all the pretty clothes you'll be able to buy her, any names yet? *edit* woops! read it as your daughters name being Amber. What a stunning name!

Poddle - I typed 'horrible wedding dress' into google images :D

Ooooh, Swiss roll, sounds nice! We always go to my grandparents house for tea and something after work, save my granny bringing the kitkats out.
As for the premium bonds - it's kind of the un said rule that they'd be towards a house deposit or something for our houses. Their little way of helping. In a way it was logically for my sister to do that, at least she isn't stuck with a loan she can't repay. Just didn't think my Grandad would of taken it so badly! Now making it my mission to cheer the old lad up.

  • Thanks Flower my daughter is 20, 21 in May - baby wasn't planned as she was in the second year of university doing complementray medician so we weren't too pleased when we found out, especially because she had only been back to uni for 2 weeks and it cost us £850 for the term. However it could have been worse as she had signed the contract for the year. I am so pleased now and OH is over the moon that it is a girl as daugther is all grown up and he said that he needs a new little princess.

That must have been a shock for you ROTE, especially while you daughter was at uni. I am so glad that everything worked out good though.
Has she decided on any names yet?

EDIT - Oops sorry just noticed you said what the name was!! Thats a lovely name!
