Our company are awful for not paying people. They expect you to not have hobbies or keep fit at any risk to yourself! Those people who are lucky enough to get paid for sports injuries are usually in with the managers, there's a lot of nepotism here and it depends who likes you (and who you are related to) as to how you are treated. Like I said, OH's manager doesn't like him for some reason, I don't why, he's a hard worker and is rarely off work, and he's decided to do this to him. Luckily he has his insurance so we'll have some money, but not enough!
Off home now to give him a cuddle and help him sort this out! Talk tomorrow!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Same here Dinah, was very goody-two-shoes til I was about 21, then had a bit of a 'phase' then settled down again. OH doesn't know about it actually, I don't think he'd approve. He's very proud of the fact he's never had a one night stand, but then I'm not ashamed of my past either, it was good fun!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Legally I don't think they have a leg to stand on. If he is signed off by his doctor then it's no concern to them how he did it.
I was too wild when I was younger, went through a very bad patch when I was 20, broke up with my boyfriend of 3 years, found out my best friend had started seeing him a week later, bringing him into our flat when I was out, went out 6 or 7 nights a week, picking up strange men, hugely questioned my faith, I would love to say I had only slept with men I was in a commited relationship with, but for 8 months when I was 20, I didn't even ask their names half the time, certainly never a phone number. Much happier now though, at the end of the day one (okay Dinah, think of a clean word for it!) winky is the same as another, and its the emotional attachment that makes it special.
You really have been through the mill! I'm really happy that you are in a good place with NIM now! :jOvercome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Goodness me, quite scandalous afternoon chat today!
It's funny to think back to your first kiss. My friends pre-arranged mine at youth club when I was 13. The poor boy kissed like a dishwasher and I was not impressed. I wonder what I thought it would be like at the time, some magical fairy dust or something?! Yours sounds v. romantic Dinah.
I have had some great relationships and cool flings, but also kissed a fair few horrible frogs on the way to my OH. I am really glad about this, as each relationship has made me learn a lot, and makes me a better partner now.
I had some sweet party years in my early twenties in London, going wild. I regretted it a bit afterwards as it seemed to put me behind my more 'straight' friends in terms of getting a house and all that settled stuff. But now I am glad, as when I am feeling really square I can think back to parties in all kinds of strange buildings across London, great music, meeting all new people all the time, and lots of frisson and scandal in the boyfriend department.
The most important thing is to be true to yourself, whether traditional or more informal. Definitely important to protect against those STIs and little ones when you first meet people, tho. I have got an implant too as I am rubbish at remembering to do anything everyday, but I must say I don't really like it. I can get AF randomly when it's least expected, and sometimes 2 a month when I am stressed - horror!

My lord, I go away for one afternoon and Sex, Faith and Jimmy Choos!
I can't really comment on any of it either, I had my first everything with OH! Admittedly I've had other boyfriends inbetween us breaking up and getting back together, but they only lasted about 3 months, and sadly I compaired them all to OH! I still can't believe I'm 'settled down' with him at 17, but then you always come across couples who were each others first love. *soppy moment over*
Birdie - Love your SOTD! Ooooh, I want to get married! Well, I dont. But I'd like to have a day where I wear a pretty dress and eat good food.
Lara - Hope it all goes well for your sister tomorrow!
Now I've happily caught up, I'm off to slice the tops off the cakes!0 -
Well im away for one day and this is what i come back to!
Birdie - ooh i love those shoes, absolutly gorgeous! I want them!
Lara - how exciting about your sister, hope everything goes ok!
Dinah - i wanted to ask you something, i remember you saying you had a new laptop and if i remember correctly it was a dell one? If you dont mind me asking, which one was it and how much did it cost? Oh and also obviously are you happy with it? I have a dell laptop at the mo but could do with a new one, i really like this one so am inclined to stick with dell.
Hope everyone else is ok?

*whispers* what's AF Lara?
Yep new laptop is a Dell, I payed £729 for it, it's a 17" studio. It has amazing graphics, but it's too big. NIM got the 15" one and it's more than enough. I also got a very overpowered one for all my graphics and gaming. I love it, especially since it's red, but I don't think you really need to go for such a crazy spec.
Did well at the gym tonight, 44 mins/500 cals on the cross trainer, 100 situps, an hour of pilates, then 36 reps on each of the 4 weights machines that I do. And I didn't feel faint!
NIM sounds utterly fed up, can't wait until I have him back here.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Did you get anything nice in the shops Cinny? I don't think one needs an excuse like a wedding to wear a pretty frock and scoff good food!
Lara what's AF? Sorry if that's a bit dim but I can't figure it out!
Been to the pool this evening in my Channel Challenge attempt, was aiming for 50 lengths but only managed 30 due to the horrible splashy kids. I'd be doing so much better with this chellenge if only I didn't have to share my pool with the godawful general public! Anyway, off to watch Shameless then finish The Reader as I'm going to see it tomorrow and can't possibly watch the film without finishing the book!!! Ooh, hang on, the Culture Show is in Newcastle so I might watch that instead...Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -

Hi ladies,
AF is Aunt Flo (period)!!!!
Wow, the conversation got very deep today! I have never had a one night stand but was wild in my 20s out clubbing etc etc.Plenty of my friends do and they always practice safe sex. I would not have unprotected sex with any partner until I was with them for at least 6 months. If they are happy to have unprotected sex with the woman who knows where else they have been and who else they have been with. It just takes one other partner to contract an STI. It's different when you are in a longer term relationship.
I also agree with Tete (think it was Tete) that it is good for teens to explore each others bodies. They can take it one step at a time and set certain boundaries. That's what I did with my first boyfriend and it made my first time very special.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947
