  • Well just remember it is your day and you are paying for it. If you find her a little overbearing then you can always give her a task to keep her occupied like sorting out flowers or something. It might keep her away for a bit.Lol!!!

I definitely second that- give interfering people some responsibility and it will get them out of your hair!

Seriously though, it is really hard to please everybody. I spent many sleepless nights worrying that I'd upset various family members with my wedding choices or that they had upset me by inviting people I didn't want! Ultimately my wedding was the best day of my life, and it is still a favourite topic of conversation between me and OH and both our families. I guess it was quite big by some people's standards, but everyone had so much fun.

Some piccies here if anyone's interested-

Sorry for continuing the off-topicness- but I promise I have been a very good money saver today and listed lots on eBay!

GiSi - Your wedding looked lovely! and that dress was fantastic.

When my parents got married they did it at the local Registry office, my mum wearing her favourite dress and my dad in his only pair of smart trousers with a borrowed jacket. 25 years later, still happy as two Larrys!

On the money side of things! I'm using all my MSE tips in the work place. Got a bunch of phones on envirofone yesterday, lots of things on ebay, even turned the heating off (shock-horror) Have to earn my keep now.
  • NIM - do you all remember 'The secret of Nimah' a film about a little mouse, I actually have the book.

I remember reading something at school called Mrs Frisbee and the Rats of Nimes or something... is it the same thing? Anyone else know what I'm talking about??

Birdie- was it John Snow on C4 with the bright socks? I can't stand him with his bright ties and son who thinks he's so handsome!

Oooh, GiSi - a RED wedding dress! I'd be scared of being called a scarlet woman or something I have to say but it looks stunning! Ooh, all this talk of weddings doesn't so much make me want to have one myself, but I would like a nice sparkly diamond and a posh frock!

How was the meal Lara? Hope good, and a free meal's better than nowt!

I went to see Benjamin Button last night, it was actually really really enjoyable! Very much like Forrest Gump in a lot of ways, and very sad but I loved it. And Brad Pitt playing a child in an old man's body is the best acting I've ever seen from him (I know that doesn't say much!). Finished late though so I'm shattered today, but have moved on from tickly cough to sneezing fits so that's marginally better. How's everyone else?

Oh, sorry. And on the MONEY side, erm, I'm going to put some birthday money in the bank to cover cost of haircut and new glasses before payday next week. Really should pay more attention to what time of the month I book my appointments!

Ooh, I want to see that movie! Need to convince OH he wants to see it too.

Up in the office attic sorting out files ect (I will class it as my exercise for today because it was bloody heavy) and found a box filled with nokia hands free sets, and a completely unused phone. Looks like more ebaying today for me!

    DIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINAAAAAH NIM'S STEALING MY IDEAS!!

Grief, it took less than a day for me to become thread mommy! NIM has been punished. Worringly I think he enjoyed it....

Paypal have decided to refund the buyer provided he return the item to me, which is kind of what I expected, since it's what they do 95% of the time apparently. Doesn't make me any less angry though. And if he leaves me negitive feedback anyway then my ebay account is cancelled regardless. Super.

Mondays MS meal has been rearranged to tonight by the company, but mum is going to the dentist so might end up having to cancel alltogether. Kind of don't mind if it's cancelled, could use a night at home. Will go to the gym first though, NIM took me to tai chi last night but I can't count it as exercise, didn't feel any muscles working once! Definitely 'exercise' for the senile or post-op (sorry NIM!).

NIM has a written list today on his request, as the week has kind of got away from him and he needs to call the uni to be able to do the supply teaching thing. If I don't go to the MS tonight then I should be able to do some Dooyoos/(shudder) Ebay. Also need to get started on NIMs painting for February since there is only about a week left!

Can you lot stop being wedding-broody please?! Means NIM and I end up having serious talks, and it ruins date night.

    He started it!

Couldn't you mail the buyer and try to reason with him for feedback? Or leave him pos feedback in the hope he returns it?

No more wedding talk from me, unless Birdie posts another pretty dress in which case I won't be able to help myself.

Right, owf to clean the franking machine!

    Hey guys

How exciting to meet NIM yesterday! I had a nice meal everything was free, including wine/beer so I must confess to being a little hung over this morning. I went with my new/old work colleagues - just got a couple more weeks off before I start back.

So I finished the college proposal last night, and sent it to my researcher friend for his comments. Hopefully I can make some changes today and send it off to some potential supervisors on Friday. Finally feeling like I am making some progress.

Need to start making some money, so going to have a look again at matched betting, as I still have my float from years ago. Also got to get OH to take some pics of the swarovski crystals I have for ebay.

I have earned enough for rent and bills in March - £400, and OH says he'll cover spends, which is pretty nice of him. He has changed over all the direct debits so we officially have a joint account now. Feel a bit bad for spending his money but I guess it's only for a month or so.

I'll get paid perhaps around £600 at the end of March which has to do me for April, so still need to make enough for our holiday to Paris.

I am sorry to hear about ebay Dinah - I can't believe they are threatening to ban you, that's really outrageous after all the positive feedback you got. I am really going to watch out when I list my items.

    Have a great day!

    Lara
