Hello Flower! We're all happy because we've met NIM, although he does keep stealing ideas from Cinny and Tete, think he keeps a good talking to by Dinah!
Going back to the sock subject, I saw the little pre-amble to the C4 news with that old bloke and he was wearing ridiculously bright socks, think he realised halfway through the little spot because he pulled his ankle up onto his knee (IYKWIM) and covered his sock with his hand!
NIM's got a point about us being off topic, think it went OT about 50 pages ago!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Peter Jones does wear some amazing socks! Bless about that guy on C4, he should be proud about his socks.
Yeah, we are pretty OT, It used to be lots of money making talk with a bit of gabber but now it's completely switched.0 -
I know it's a bit early to start looking but I'm bored and excited and going mad because I can't tell anyone... but looky at the pretty dress! This is the dress I want...today! I've got 2 years to change my mind more or less everyday so we're talking a good 700+ dresses! God, that's a long time to wait in dress terms!
That is a really beautiful dress. All the fun you will have trying on all the dresses. You lucky thing!!!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

OK back to the wedding/s
Not sure if I have already mentioned this but OH and I really wanted to be married but did not want all the pomp and ceremony that goes with the 'big day'. Both the Mothers got a little carried away with his mum wanting to invite his Uncle who no one had seen in 4 years! Now its a little easier to tell your own mother to keep her nose out..but your future MILIn the end after lots of tears I decided enough was enough, in agreement with OH we managed to book a lovely registery office for Chistmas Eve (this was the October of the same year), a very small wedding followed (with lots of gossip about she must be pregnant bringing the wedding forward....that was 5 years ago and no we havn't had babies let alone on 7 months later lol)
Anyway do what you want to do, consider if a big do is not for you..what you could do with the mony insead..that said if you fancy a huge day then go for it:D

I agree. Go for the day you want Birdie. As long as you have the money for it and are happy you don't have to justify it to anyone else! For me, a casual affair in Spain was the way to go but if someone else wants to have a big wedding fair play to them!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

I can't wait! :j
I think I haven't much choice wedding wise as we won't be able to afford a massive shindig and I refuse to take out a big loan! But that's fine with me, it's my mum I worry about! She likes the finer things in life and I know that she'll be pushing me to go with the 'nicer' i.e. more expensive option every time! My MIL I don't really worry about, she's the quiet, meek sort and lets me get on with things, maybe moaning about it later behind my back but never stong enough to say anything to me!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

Well just remember it is your day and you are paying for it. If you find her a little overbearing then you can always give her a task to keep her occupied like sorting out flowers or something. It might keep her away for a bit.Lol!!!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947
