    That is funny :rotfl:

When Joshua was a tiny baby, he was hungry and my Mam was holding him while I went to get a glass of water first. She had her face close to his and was saying "ohh who's a hungry baby then?" when all of a sudden, he lunged his whole body forward and started sucking her nose :rotfl:I got into trouble for saying he must think she looks like a tit :o:D
    .

hehehe Annabel will try to latch on to anyone - her aunty, granny, dad and even had a go at her Grandad :eek:at the weekend. It was so amusing we laughed for ages, but my poor dad was mortified!!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Yes - Violet will try to suck anything too!! She's enjoying eating her hands at the moment!

I was telling DD (8 1/2) that shes getting a big girl now and shouldn't be running around the house naked, and that she'll be a lady soon, and its not a ladylike thing to do! She said "oh great, i'll get boobies and i'll be able to feed Violet too" - I think i'll need to explain some basics too her. :o

We had a very unhappy baby last night. 2nd lot of immunisations yesterday afternoon led to a very hot and bothered baby with a big red sore leg! 1/2 spoon of calpol calmed her down and she slept well after a couple of hours of screaming. The nurse said they can sometimes be affected by the 2nd/3rd lot, even if ok after the first.

I was reading Essential's magazine and they published some lovely recipes from this book:
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fays-Family-Food-Fay-Ripley/dp/0718154606

It's all quick and simple nutritious food that is suitable for all the family. I've ordered it as I think it will be useful as I prefer to feed my lot home cooked food.

I saw Fay Ripley talking about this last week - on Paul O'Grady?
Looks really good, and the reviews on amazon are all good.

I think i'll order it - i need some new ideas. OH is fussier than the children - he drives me insane!! We teach the children to eat healty, with five a day etc and they're great and will try anything. DD's favorites are broccoli and sprouts :D and they'll both empty the fridge of fruit before turning to crap - but OH is lucky if he has 5 a week! His fruit and veg intake consists of tinned carrots or tinned peas .

Sounds like my hubby 3! Makes me laugh that every other week he's going on a diet and only eating salad... Considering the only salad item he eats is cucmber I imagine he'll be going hungry if he ever follows it through...

Aimee loves sprouts, but only raw... Won't eat them cooked... Same with cauliflower (especially the inner leaves) and broccoli... Although with perseverance she will eat 1 cooked broccoli floret if it's on her plate but no more than 1!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

  • :T ladybird that is fab :T

I was giggling as I read it and Benjamin (who is feeding) started making giggling noises too :T:T

Can't quite say it was his first giggle because he had a mouth full of b00by  he likes to talk whilst he is eating :D

Krystal - while you're here - i had a strange conversation with my HV yesterday!
She was asking if i was still b/f - Yes.
She talked about weaning from 6 months, and asked if I had a pump, to get milk to mix in baby rice etc - Yes.
Then she said if I had trouble expressing (i don't), i can mix with cows milk or formula.
Then said babys can't have cows milk til 12 months.
So I said, so from 6 months, I would have to mix food with expressed or formula.
She said ' yes - or cows milk'!?!

!!!!!!! I don't have much confidence with this HV anyway - we've had some bizarre conversations before!

It made me wonder - What (if any) qualifications do HV's have?

3onitsway - you can use cows milk for food preparation from 6 months, but not as a main drink - for that you wait til 12 months. I assume thats what the HV was trying (badly) to explain.
    DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY ;)

  • Took Benjamin back for his 2nd hip scan yesterday...after the last one we received a letter to say he was showing signs of hip displacia. The consultant was there for the scan and told us that his last scan showed that the socket wasn't deep enough for the ball of the hip, this scan was only 1 degree out so they are pretty sure he will be okay.

Back in 3 weeks to check on his progress, hopefully we will be discharged then.

We have Benjamins 6 week check today (at 7 weeks and 4 days so he should perform well in his development checks ;)) then his first jabs on Monday...oh for a week without an appointment

:doh:just realised I forgot to go to B00by Club this morning - when will this baby brain mend itself

Hiya feelie - I have been thinking about you and hoping that you are getting on okay.

I went past Sandbach services last week and thought about you because you might have been at your mums :D

    How's it going?
