We went to mum's for tea (trying to save money at the mo so eating everyone else's food ;)) she said the conjunctivitis rule applies to teachers too :T
The actual rule at her school is that no one with it can come to school until they have completed 48hrs of treatment:cool:

    :D

Wonder if it applies where I am? Doubt it, you have to be practically dying for a day off. In cases of vomiting children have to stay off for 48 hours; strangely this doesn't seem to apply to teachers

We have an inspector in on Wednesday. I would love to be off then. Think my job share partner would kill me though!

Congrats on the scan! I would go for the 3D scan. I love our pictures though my Mam said she thought it was weird!

Sami - doesn't your OH want to know the sex? That would drive me mad, trying not to slip up for the rest of the pregnancy. Me and DH decided we would only find out if we both agreed, as you can't un-know, yet the baby will eventually make an appearance and everyone will find out then!! IYKWIM:)

nad - poor Oz, and poor you, it scares the !!!! out of you the first time it happens doesn't it!! Luca (ds1) had croup about 5 times, the first time we called an ambulance and he was rushed to hospital...they told us once they have one bout of it is 'likely' but not definite, they will get it again, but grow out of it by about the age of 5yrs (or might have been 7yrs)....STEAM, STEAM STEAM, did they tell you to get him into a steamy room if it happens again:D

Me and DH having a few arguments today, the tiredness is kicking in a bit now, and his lack of help around the house is just infuriating, I felt like walking out today. I don't expect him to do anything through the week as he is out pretty much all day everyday at uni, and often has work to finish off at home in the evenings, but when he has sat on the PS3 for 12hrs on Saturday, and it got to midday and he had been on it a few hours today, I was furious...as in the meantime I had, Washed, sterilised and made the bottles, put two wash loads in and hung them out on the line, emptied and filled the dishwasher, hoovered the whole house, picked up all the dog poo, put clean laundry away, and was looking out at how desperately the lawn needed mowing!! All that inbetween feeding and changing Kai, getting breakfast and lunch for the boys, and also keeping a check on them out in the garden:mad: Anyway I am so sorry for that big rant, I just needed to get it off my chest to someone who won't shout back at me;)

Why i've been so worried about him flirting around some t@rt at uni, she would be doing me a favour if he ran off with her:rolleyes:

Pleased the brain scan went ok MFD.

Sami - when I had the late special scan when they tried to do a brain scan on Charlotte when she was inside me, they also did a freebie quick 3D scan for me and printed off a few pics of her face. It was amazing! We were sitting there saying she had my lips and nose and stuff like that as it was so clear.

Hope you feel a bit better getting everything vented redmel. My husband does little around the house. He does cook sometimes on the day he's off work, but he doesn't do any cleaning or laundry or anything like that. He says it's because he works in a full time job. However I work 15-30 hours a week and do another 10-20 hours a week for uni studies, but that doesn't seem to count for anything
Here I go again on my own....

I'm sitting here crying...I just dont know what to do anymore. LO's reflux is back, he was screaming last night for hours with total panic in his eyes. Same happened again this morning. He's asleep now. I phoned the HV, and she's going to get the paediatrician appt bought forward to this pm if possible. He's on the highest dose of ranitadine already.
I just want this to end. He's had more than his fair share of pain since he's born.

Oh yes MFD glad that Benjamin's scan went well! sorry I forgot to put that last night :o is it too soon to see a difference from the exercises on his arm?

Beccles - Problem I have is I don't want to see bubs face before he arrives - just to be awkward! :D well to be honest my POV is whats the point if you already know its a boy and what its face looks like, theres nothing exciting to wait for then:p even so tho I can't stand it when someone knows something I don't and will be twitching like some kind of addict going cold turkey trying to stop myself taking a peek!

Men - I blame the parents! :rotfl:My mum was round cleaning my house the other week and every time she got back (it was while I was staying with my parents due to dust from having ceiling done) she would say why does he do that/ not do this and almost everytime she said it I would say; because that's what his mum would do!
We still have arguments about making the bed (we have separate duvets :o) He reckons because he never had to make his own bed at home coz mummy did it for him I should do the same here:rolleyes: Well I say if you want ur side of the bed made then do it yourself!! I've been making my own bed since I was about 5 so its about time he started doing his for himself too!

Mel - During this weekend just gone I was feeling the same, I threw OH's duvet down the stairs and told him to not bother trying to get in our bed! :p

HI Iwcus - Sorry to hear about your little one. What is it that is happening? Is he drinking his milk and then it is coming back up, how old is he and is he your first child (son). I am only asking to rule out something else that it might be, that gets mistaken for reflux. Or has he had any kind of tests, to diagnose it definitely as reflux?

Anyone recommend a good baby car seat. I know I should ask on the pregnancy club but I just can't keep up with the pages to see if there's a reply! Do I remember someone saying they had a Which? subscription?

The priorities are to fit in my Fiesta and OH's Focus, plus be light to carry and have no base. Any ideas?

I have the maxi-cosi and really like it - we do have the iso-fix base for it, but my friend uses the same seat just with a seat belt and both of us are happy with it. I do find it a little heavy when Annabel is in it - but no heavier than any other car seat with a baby in it!!! HTH

Can anyone (perhaps Krystaltips?) recommend an electric breast pump? I have a tommee tippee hand punp which I can't make much headway with and as I'm really persevering with the breast feeding I think it may be worth the money getting an electric one - 1. to help increase my supply and 2. let me express for the late night feed for husband to do at the weekends so I can get a bit of sleep occassionally!!!

I was looking at the medela (there is an electic one and a mini electric one) and avent in boots, but wanted some opinions before splashing out. thanks.

Had a good few nights - and hubby and I had an evening to ourselves for the first time in 7 and a bit weeks - we spent it asleep!!!!
