Hope everything went ok today MFD x
Midwife came and discharged me today, she gave me a big hug and told me how well I had done in labour and since:D She is so lovely, I really hope I meet her again:)
Also found out from the Health Visitor yesterday that there is a brand new Sure Start Children's Centre just round the corner from me, set up less than a year ago. They do baby and toddler groups, a post natal exercise class, and all sorts of clubs and classes:D I am well chuffed, as getting out the house on a regular basis to meet other people is what kept me sane when the other two were little:p
nadnad - I keep meaning to ask, your little boy Oz, is that his full name or is it short for something?

Been an interesting week here.
I turned 40 this week, and have decided that in my head I will always remain around 25...;)
We are going to an annual IVF children's party very soon, and I just had the thought that the medical team there will have seen every mother's eggs before they came the kids they now are...:DThe IVF worked;DS born 2006.0 -

Happy 40th Birthday J_O_H. I've got mine next year and am dreading it. Like you, I still feel like I'm in my twenties. It only seems like yesterday I was traumatised about turning 30!! :rotfl:
Honestly those of you in your twenties thinking we sound like old gits, you'll be amazed how quickly the time flits by in the blink of an eye.0 -
I don't know... I'm in my 20's (for the next 6 months anyway) I still feel like a teenager... Maybe you never feel your age?A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Can we stop about age pleeeeaaase? Traumatic year for me (in my self-absorbed way).
I'm turning 30 in June. We've been together for 10 years and married for 5. I will have 2 children shortly after I turn 30. Shouldn't I have to have sat an exam or been tested in some way?! It's all far too grown up.
Just catching up as I'm still at mum's. It's been bliss - lie-in every morning, mum doing most of the necessary with Imogen and all my meals home cooked. Think I've only grated some cheese and made Imogen an omlette in the last 4 days :T
Missing DH though and Imogen's asking about him more regularly, so glad to be going home in the morning. Even if we are going to have to clean & tidy like demons due to my step-sisters & 1 husband coming for Sunday lunch.
Oh, and I don't iron either. Unless absolutely necessary. Dh does his own and I iron once on a Sunday to make sure my work stuff is presentable. I buy stuff that doesn't necessarily need ironing and then wear stuff at the weekends that perhaps should have been :rotfl: But I've got better things to do with my time!
Choc - how north east. I'm in Yorkshire, any chance?!MSE Parent Club Member #1Yummy slummy mummy club member50% slummy, 50% mummy, 100% proudImogen born Boxing Day 2006Alex born 13 July 20090 -
Lol, more northernly than you, Lu. I think Yorkshire is down south. If you want me to be more specific - Co. Durham. Not near enough to take your ironing, sorry!
My best friend and I were just talking about age yesterday. We met on the first day of 6th form when we were both 16. I'm 35 and she's 36 this year (despite being in the same year at school she has a Sept birthday and mine's July - I hated being the youngest at school but quite enjoy it now!). It doesn't feel like we've known each other that long and despite six kids between us we still don't feel like grown ups.0 -

Do go, Mel, they are fab! I took Poppy on Wed as they have a Jo Jingles session which is normally something I would have to pay for elsewhere. We're going back next week as she loved it! Didn't give me a second glance and stood nose to nose with the teacher!:rotfl:.
And in the Easter hols they are running a trip to Chester Zoo for £5 per adult :T. It would cost us nearly that in tunnel charges so we're booked in. I'm sure they would organise something a bit further away at your centre!

I quite like ironing too! There is something quite relaxing and statisfactory about it. I only do mine and the childrens though - DH does his own!
