  • Lol everyone telling me and Princess not to google, we'd be in trouble now if we did. I haven't at all, have you Princess?? Hope all continues to go well with your DD though.

I'm doing ok and thanks for all your well wishes. Spoke to a gp and he said its treatable and will not progress to any other organs, so I feel much happier. DH and I were privately imagining all sorts of stuff but i've stopped worrying now. Appt should be weeks rather than months he said.

Right anyway, Miss Molly Moo is the main problem at the moment, her behaviour has improved since i'm back on the AD's, i'm calmer so is she, BUT she is waking up earlier and earlier in the morning. Does anyone remember back a little over a year when I was posting about Jack doing the same. We had 5.30am starts for about 3 months until he switched to a lunchnap and dropped the rest. Well Molly still needs both naps, so nowhere near dropping one but for 3 weeks now she's progressively got earlier and earlier, from 7am, 6.30am, 6.15, 5.50 and this morning 5.30am. I'm not amused and we can't let her cry for too long as she'll wake up Jack, he'll happily go round till half sever or 8am. I just hope she swings around again soon. When do the clocks go forward anyone? That might help reset her.

I'm yawning so much these days.
  • Oh and a friend mentioned to me this week that Molly should get the new government grant which enables her playschool fees to be paid from 2.5yrs. Jack won't qualify for his nursery grant until jan 10, but for Molly it "could" be aug, well sept 10. Certainly would help us out a bit.

Does anyone know anything about this and is it true?
  • Does anyone know anything about the huggies £3 off little walkers at Boots voucher. I took mine into boots and picked up the offer for 2 pack for £8 and gave the coupon. I expected to get them for £5, but the lady couldn't find a bar code and said i'd already saved £3.67 by doing the offer, I said that was irrelevant to the coupon and if I bought 1 pack i would still expect £3 off but she wouldn't have it.

Does that make sense and if so how can i use a legitimate voucher without a bar code?
  • Sorry just realised you need to go onto their website and print a voucher. Doh!
  • Bailey have def not googled anything - I dont dare to now! Hope you feel better after speaking to your gp - its hard not to let your imagination run wild - Im terrible for that:p Ruby wakes early and has done for months and we put her in our bed till its time to get up - not ideal especially as sometimes its 1 or 2 in the morning  but given up caring now - she likes our bed and not her cot:rotfl: Iv come to realise.

Rant alert! Look away now if you don't want to listen...

So, Easter eggss. We told OH's family. Mostly not amused. Weren't sure whether MIL had heard (20 of us at a family meal) so when she rang today I just said, "Did Pete manage to talk to you about Easter eggs?" "Oh yes," says she, "being as you were worried about you having them in the house and you two eating them, SIL#1 and SIL#2 are just going to get her a small one each adn keep it at mine. Then I'll just give her little bits each day..."

So, I said I was very disappointed with that attitude. That actually we felt it was inappropriate for a 2 year old to have that much chocolate, that we were going to buy her 1 (only 1) so she wasn't missing out. And I pointed out that if every close family member bought her "just a little one" she'd be eating chocolate for the next 6 weeks.

She offered to talk to SIL's and let them know, but OH's family are a nightmare for not talking about things and just sending messages via MIL so I said no, OH will talk to them direct.

When he got home from work he spoke to her and reinforced what we want (she tried to fudge it and say they thought it was about us not eating them) and that he didn't want her to talk to his sisters, they are all adults and he'll do it. Low & behold little sis rings with an attitude and says, "Whatever you want, I can't be @rsed to talk about it"

I thought she'd be more understanding as they have a 5-yr old and we've always asked them what they want and then done it - as I did with the discussion about easter eggs for him (he's having a choc buttons one).

Have been really upset about it all - not great in my current 'condition' - as it just demonstrates a complete lack of respect for our decisions on how we bring our DD up. It's more fundamental for us than a dispute about an Easter egg. Anyway, have got over the upset and now just CBA with it all. If older SIL wants to have a sulk about it (wouldn't surprise me) she can just get on with it.

    Rant over. Thanks for listening.

hello, it's sort of true. she is entitled to a pre school place at 2.5 but she doesn't get a free place till the term AFTER her 3rd birthday. it entitles you to 15hrs per week and you pay any extra hours ontop of this. it's automatically applied, you don't get any vouchers or anything, the nursery applies on your behalf.
kennedy is 3 in october and gets her free place in january.
  • I've googled the free nursery sessions and am still only getting them from first term after they turn 3. It's for five 2.5 hours per week, perhaps that's where the confusion has arisen?

Edit - just found this which says it will be going up from 12.5 to 15 hours from September 2010 but still from age 3.
