make sure his willy is pointing down and also that the outer leg cuffs aren't tucked into the nappy

How silly am I? I just giggled coz JS said penis :o

so did i! it sounds all grown up, i just say wee willy!

Danwhy - this happened us too - only at night and not every night, and we could never work out how he was so wet sooo far up his back but not all the way up from his nappy IYSWIM  I actually panicked once thinking he was sweating and all overheated :rotfl: .

Don't know how it happens but can only reiterate the other advice ie point the willy down and make sure all the cuffs are pulled out and make sure the nappy is snug.

I think we're the same person nadnad! (Although herself is a bit small for comfirt objects to be fair!) When Celia was tiny tiny so many people (particularly my MIL) told me she needed a dummy. So we tried one, she sucked it for about ten seconds, then spat it out and gagged whenever it came near her again! Maybe she didn't need one after all! Some do, she didn't! It would seem it has to be people for her! She's teething now and given the choice she'd much rather knaw my finger to the bone than battle with a teething ring!

(btw thank you so much to whoever recommended Ashton and Parsons!)

yep def one in the same - Oz won't chew teethers either would rather have my finger, or my arm, or my leg, yesterday it was my neck.... and unfortunately sometimes its my nipples

and im also an Ashton and Parsons fan only thing that works.

Is it ok if I have a go nadnad? :D

Nice to meet you danwhy. Have you tried different brands of nappy? When my sons were little, I found Huggies were the only ones that didn't leak, but my daughter has been in various brands with no leaking.

we only get leaks when the nappy is too small! but yes make sure willy is pointing down and the nappy is on securely (my boy has little legs and luckily its not as bad now hes getting bigger, but the nappies would still be a bit loose on leg so i tried my best to get it on as tightly (without cutting on circulation lol) as i could to avoid leaks down the legs!

oh and elliot has a dummy, but mainly for naps-hes not bothered in between.

In that case I insist that you get her the book and also get her "please mrs butler" too :Dhttp://www.amazon.co.uk/Please-Mrs-Butler-Verses-Puffin/dp/0140314946
I might have to get a new copy as I remember mine was falling apart as it was my fave:D

Sami bee, can I just ask you to look at the name of this website, in particular the words "money saving"!!!! ;) Lol, it's saved me lots of dosh this site, but sometimes I see stuff on here that I probably wouldn't have bought ordinarily :rotfl:

Off to amazon to check it out now...

Edited to say I've ordered both, not bad for £5.52 on Marketplace, she's mad on reading at the moment, so I'm happy to encourage that really.

Just to add a question for all those with older kids, does anyone know of any rhyme or any really effective way to teach the pairs of numbers that make 10? I've made flashcards with the pairs of numbers on one side and also more flashcards with one number on the front and the other on the back. She's doing pretty well with it, but if there was a poem to teach her (on the lines of 30 days have September type thing) that would be great.

We do things like that and spellings and stuff randomly. Like I'll washing up and one of the boys will come in and I'll just shout "9 times 6" or similar at them. It keeps them on their toes and makes it more fun.

    54!!!

I was well impressed with her just now, using her flashcards and getting the other number after only a couple of seconds. Until I realised she could see through the card.

    :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

She finds english easy and her reading is brilliant. But numberwork is obviously not such a strength, so I want to work on it with her and help her as much as I can, but I'm not that sure of what sort of exercises to do. We do a lot of simple adding and subtracting and it's definitely getting better, but am finding the 'what makes 10' thing a bit exasperating when it's only 11 pairs of numbers, 5 of which are the same but in reverse. So any tips gratefully received.

Hi ladies, we've had tp swap gp's as ours is still as crap as ever...elliots reflux seemed to be improving with the gaviscon but is going downhill again. so i need to see a gp again to see what else there is to help him. only problem now is weve got to see the nurse next tuesday first before we can book to see the gp. so ive got a week at least trying to cope with the sicking up again (not so bad that hes dehydrated-id take him to hospital if necessary) but bad enough to change bibs and clothes all the time.

my husband has popped out to buy a different formula to try-weve got nothing to loose if its no better.

anyone else's babys had reflux? the lady at chemist asked if we'd been referred to a consultant, but my old gp has been terrible fobbing us off etc.

fed up of it to be honest, im always nervous when out because of him being sick....
