Elonex One t+ and Wifi

My Elonex finally came today but it will not connect through my wifi. The only way to the internet is by cable to my router. Has anyone had better success.
IP address invalid is the error message.

    Spoke to the Support desk, it’s a common fault with units sent out recently.
    Told me to download a recovery image from there website
    http://www.elonex.com/support/products/onet/lnxonetrecovery.shtm
    Unzip, put on flash drive and run on Elonex.

    Hope this helps anyone else with this problem however there website is so clogged up it says it’s going to take 15hours to download.
  • I had 2 of these delivered yesterday and neither of them work , i charged both before trying them and both would not switch on at all.
    The only thing technical support can come up with after 3 phone calls is to try the reset button on the back, it worked for the one till the next time i tried to switch it on and it was dead again.
    Their aftersales service is chaotic, youi have to speak to an overseas call centre who have trouble communicating and it took over 20 minutes just to get them to accept my name address and telephone number . They then get technical support to call you back to tell you to try the reset button ! When that fails they give you a reference number and another phone number to call to arrange a collection !
    I had to go through that twice and i am not happy with the service at all , i am risking replacements in the first instance as i do like the look and feel of the laptops , i currently have an Eeepc and these look and feel better put together , shame they dont work !

    Unable to make this operting system work. Unit to be returned to Elonex. I will be pressing for a refund as I have no confidence that the OS will ever work. Shame as the unit looks so good.

    Did that fix the problem? My oneT+ arrived today and the exact same problem with the wifi. I just can't get it to connect and was wondering whether that download sorted your problem? many thanks.

    Im very annoyed at their service , 4 days ive been waiting for a returns label now.

  • Oh I'm so glad I've found this thread! I thought I was going mad. Received ONET last week and signed up to Plusnet broadband and it won't work. After about 10-12 phone calls, waiting in queues (on a national rate call centre) I'm finally waiting for 'management' to call me back. Hopefully will get sort soon.
  • Still no return label so i e mailed them last night giving them 7 days to sort it out before i start a small claims action.
    This morning i had a phone call telling me to send them back to a freepost address and that they would send replacements straight away.
    Then this afternoon i have had an e mail saying they are sending replacements out and will pick up the faulty ones at the same time.
    It is all very disjointed.
