It would be into quarters, to let our house out until return to the area.

So JSP has been updated in red and it no clearly states that you cant claim DA upon marriage whils in same posting -why has this change been introduced, or should it of always been like that they just forgot to put it nto JSP on the first version?

    Anyone know the reasoning behind?

Oh so this must of changed only a couple of months ago because a friend of mine could not claim it. It's so wrong keep changing the rule one minute to the next.

Could you please put the link on where it states this please? I am wondering if they can still claim??

Just looked and it say's this?
. Mid-assignment Moves. DA is only payable for mid-assignment
moves where the move of accommodation is for Service, compassionate, welfare or
medical reasons or where the Service person’s accommodation entitlement changes
(other than as a result of first setting up home). Mid-assignment moves for other
personal reasons and for operational deployments do not give an entitlement to DA.

It was always this way pre-JPA, you could never claim DA for your first move into MQs...they didn't word this into the original version of the JSP, a loophole they have now closed...

    To save money I imagine..

When you recieve an assignment order:

Apply for DA on JPA...you will get the moving to MQ's rate about 1000 smacks...(this can be done 30 days prior to posting and will be paid at the end of the month in your wages)

Go to your admin/PSF type dudes and they will book the removals for you, removal company will come round and do a survey and then come pack eberything up and move you...

    Simple as..
