Congratulations! I'm glad you had a fab day.
I'm sure a few names have disappeared from the bottom of the list. I don't have anything past October 2010. If you have gone from the list, please post and i'll add you again.0 -
My date's moved about a million times anyway - we keep changing our minds about what we want. I won't add my name to the list of dates until we have actually booked anything!Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0

Ok we have a date! It will be this year (gulp) Friday 11th September 2009!
I am currently stressing big time over my dress as this needs ages for alterations and everything. And I've not even found a dress I like! (Well I have. I had that wow this is it moment when I tried it on) But i'm not paying £1,400 for it!!!! So back to square one
Ordered dress from Landy's/Milly's - they appear to be the same company! It will take 75 days from today to make:eek: Should arrive 10 days from wedding date :eek: I am very much contemplating getting another dress so that I have one here in time and just incase I don't like the one i'm having made from pictures/its not like the pictures. Oh heck why do I do this to myself?! :mad:0 -
Hi Fellow Budget BrideZilla's,
I would love to be added to the list - I think it's a fantastic idea.
We have just booked our ceremony & reception for 6th February '10 in the UK and I cannot wait!
It's been hectic for us with wedding plans as we have the added pressure of immigration to add to this whole issue (me moving to the UK from Australia), but I can't wait to get everything sorted and just get married!
We're now trying to frantically organise everything for the wedding, before I head back to Sydney for the final time in August for 3 months - going to miss Jason ridiculously while I am away, but knowing it's for the last time makes it easier (slightly) to deal with.
We're looking for all kinds of ways to save money and we're reveling in the fact that there are people who are as budget constricted as we are and willing to share info on saving.
We are fortunate to have the catering for the wedding sorted by a family friend in catering for £180 to feed 200 people (I kid you not!). We had our nieces 18th birthday last month with 200 people, a formal event and the catering with the same people was £180 and we took how platter of food the next morning. Sure, it means LOADS of prep work by the family, but we're ok with that!
Our venue hire, a local pub with it's own function room that seats 200 comfortably is only £195 so we're able to keep the big costs down.
I'd be keen to hear from anyone with great decorating ideas that'll turn 'pub function room' into 'sophisticated winter wonderland'...lol but I do realise that making a silk purse out of a sows ear is not possible.
Now...I'm off to look through the other thousands of posts on here.

Hello, just having a mild mad moment this weekend, 11 weeks till 5th September AAAAAAAAAAARGH!!
:D:D:D:D
One day I will be out of my student debt, one day... :beer:0 -
I booked my wedding car today - got a pretty good deal on it as it will take the groom & groomsmen, then my bridesmaids, then me, then me & h2b to the reception, no time limit complimentary champers and engraved champagne flutes.
The car we booked is brand new, i love it but im panicking about the colour its a pinky purple, but my colour scheme is blue. h2b loved it though - which i found a little odd.
Anyway here it is.0
