I buy from TV/electrical bucket shops - always cheaper. They are all over the place. Out of town usually. Last generation - but still pretty good. The only really bad thing about big CRT's is that they are heavy.0

while browsing lately i have noticed that you can get 37inch full hd tvs made by toshiba, sony, panasonic and samsung for roughly 6 to 7 hundred pounds. so if you can splash a little more i would. to be honest if you can afford even more than that then i would go for the samsung 100hz full hd tv i saw yesterday or the panasonic one i saw. i think the samsung was about £800 and the panasonic was £1000. of course i was just looking in currys and comet. there is bound to be places on the net that have these tvs at a lower price.
dont go for the cheap brands it is false economy and dont get an lg tv because ours broke down after 10 months. same goes for sharp dont get one of them because a friends broke down twice in a year.0 -
i think this is the samsung i was looking at. yes it is 40inch and not 37 but i'm sure you will have enough room. it looks awesome to me.

or this one which is virtually the same but with a lower dynamic contrast but includes a home cinema system.
