Heya guys, been away for a week due to being so busy at work, and v tired!!!
Only posting a quick one today, due to head out shortly - DH at work tomorrow so i'm having a money-day then!!!
Drive's all done now thanks Sml, got the extra ton delivered weds and it looks fab - if we're here for another 6 years then i want it looking good!!!
Stu - i'm gonna have a look tomorrow for alternative one accounts - i had a quick search last weekend, but the one account kept coming up - any hints?
Thanks evab - not had much time to look at other diary's - that's tomorrow's delights, so i'm gonna see what you've been up to!!!!
Ok, so, food budget - set up £150 pcm. 2 weeks in and we're £47 in! Not bad - even started meal planning. This is great for two reasons - limits waste, and DH knows what to start getting ready for tea whilst i'm at work! Homemade beefburgers tonight...mmmmm
Managed to pay a substantial amount off my credit card, so that's now below £500, and hopefully that'll be paid off by the middle of oct! Made £72 on ebay so far, and got the cheque through from the internet company that bought our old mobiles. And as an extra bonus, a family member is donating their old bikes to us (petrol and taxi saver!!!) and i got an old microwave off freecycle for work!
And i found £2 in my drawer!
It's our first wedding anniversary coming up soon, so we're treating ourselves to a meal out, and not gonna worry about cost (well, i'll try not to!!!).
Ok, well, that's me for today, i shall be lurking tomorrow when i haul my !!! out of bed!!!

We're having home made burgers tonight too!0

Your burgers sound lovely! Home made lamb curry here......I'm just about to look up a BM recipe for Naan bread dough!
Well done on your meal planning - it does make a hell of a difference - it was the very first difference I noticed to be honest - how much less food I waste these days! One trick for making mince stretch further by the way - meatballs in tomato sauce....bulk out the mince with home made breadcrumbs and finely chopped onions, and bind with egg. For the sauce I usually use a tin of chopped toms, onion, a good squidge of tomato puree, garlic and herbs, and cook long and slow - makes a massive difference to the flavour cooking it for longer. Pop the meatballs in and simmer ion the sace until they are done - be cautious when turning them until they're pretty much cooked as they have a tendancy to fall apart. Serve with spagetti or other pasta.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

The few people I've mentioned overpaying my mortgage looked at me as if I'd lost my marbles or thought I'm mad and throwing my money away
. I tend not to mention outside of here anymore.
I've not really mentioned it to anyone yet but to me if that saves you a small fortune in interest it makes a heck of a lot of sense.
Another odd thing is that one of my neighbours was genuinely surprised that we have managed to sell a property "at this time". Eh?

Mince in the TT house too - cottage pie with potatoes from my Dad's allotment. There's enough for tomorrow too. Also another pack of mince in the freezer as they were on offer.0 -
Mince for us too - spag bol:rotfl::rotfl:0
