    Hi OrkneyStar,

I don't like it so it's not something I've ever tried to make but there are some tried and tested recipes on this thread: Help with Gnocci please...

Is it possible to freeze grated carrot? I've read that it's great for bulking out meals and adding Secret Veg, but I hate washing the stupid grater, which puts me off grating things often. Would it be possible to grate a load of carrots and freeze the grated stuff in small portions? I'd assume so, but I suppose it could be a bad plan...

It might go a bit watery, because when you grate it, it can be quite 'wet', but I can't think of any other reason not to.

But I'd change graters: is yours particularly fiddly to wash? I have several, and the single sided ones are really no trouble.

Adding grated carrot boosts the vitamin content so I'd always use fresh. Agreed about the grater - the only thing that needs scrubbing with mine is lemon rind.

I always use a washing up brush with a long handle to clean my grater, very quick and easy.

I wouldn't :o Have you tried a microplane grater  They're a bit pricey, but worth the investment, IMHO ;)

I have some new boots where the leather needs softening around the toes, anyone have any tips? They fit great all over except for the bit around the base of my toes where its just a little bit snug ATM, I know they'd be fine if I could just soften them somehow:rolleyes:
