i really fancy i thia green curry, so iw as gonna make some next week and freeze it for my lunchs (oh doesn't like curry) but i can only find dried coconut milk sachets online is this right? i'm pretty sure last time i had some it was in a tin, i can only get to MR T's so that might be the problem if i can only get this one is it ok to use?

If you mean the creamed coconut sachets they should be fine. I only ever use those for a curry anyway - dissolve it with whatever quantity of water will make up the tin size (about 400ml?)

I have some shop bought (shame on me :o) pannacottas (Lidl, 99p for 4). Normally I just eat them from the container but, as we have guests tomorrow, I thought it would be nice to serve them on plates.

If I stand them in hot water for a few minutes would they slide gracefully out of the pot and onto the plate?

I wouldn't do it for a few minutes - I'd try a quick dip in some hot water. If you hold it in there for a few minutes I think that it would turn warm and runny?

Yep, a few minutes and they'll melt! A few seconds should be plenty, and you can loosen the sides away from the plastic container with your finger to help it along.

Sadly I didn't have time to read your replies before the meal.

You were both right, they did go a bit runny.

My son came into the kitchen whilst I was serving and told me "they usually have a silver foil tab on the bottom". I looked and they did. I pulled the tab and the contents slid out beautifully.

I have no idea how he knew this as he normally struggles to heat up a frozen pizza :D.

Any ideas for using up soft red peppers? Normally I'd throw them in the bin () but I'm trying to rediscover the OS way of life so they've been given a temporary reprieve....

I'd chop and freeze for stews etc.

Mind you, mine usually go soft while I'm waiting for DS3 to chop them for the freezer ... it's his job because he likes them best!

I'd also slice and freeze them, they come in handy pizza topping and ratatouille.
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)
