Hi Penelope
I did not get the recipe from the site you show but I do understsnd your reason for deleting it.:) However what made it different from other pepper soups I have tried is putting the mixture through a sieve after blending. It really does make a huge difference.

Thanks for the replies......well I made it and it was ok. Not as strong as I was expecting, but not as nice either, considering I love parmesan and usually through mountains of it onto spaghetti. This was my first time making a cheese sauce and it was easier than I imagined, so will stick with the home made (OS) stuff from now on

I've had a jar of goose fat in my fridge for a year - it smells fine (well as 'fine' as a pot of fat can.) Do you think it will be OK to cook spuds in on Sunday for a family get together ? DD pregnant and littlest person is only 3 so don't want to poison them ?0

Hello all,
I need to clean the plate of my iron. I don't mean de-scalling though.
I've ironed something and it was abit too hot and now the iron sticks.
Previously, I used to have a type of stick cleaner which you rubbed onto the iron whilst it was hot. But thats all gone now - sounds like abit of an ongoing problem there
Anyway, I bought this from Betterware/Kleeneze, I've checked in Sainsburys and Wilkinsons but can't find anything similar.
Any ideas?0 -

Have you tried Lakeland? It's the kind of thing they're likely to have.Household: Laura + William-cat

Hi there. Am using vinegar to clean my toilets for the first time ever (well I have only been on old-style for 3 years
)
Can I ask, do you use cloths to mop out the water at the bottom of the bowl first? Am a bit confused about how the vinegar stays strong enough to dissolve limescale if it gets diluted with the toilet water.
Thanks,
Weezl x

I use a yogurt pot to scoop out most of the water, then I can chuck/recycle as appropriate:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -

Left over chicken gravy - what do I do with it? First time I ever made it (proper gravy!) but had a fair bit left so froze it. So far on my weeks menu plan is shepherds pie (with lamb mince) and sausage & baked bean hotpot. Can I stick it in either of those, or would that be a bit odd?0
