I am the owner of stinky feet and I have discovered the best way to de-stinkify my shoes is a couple of drops of clove oil.

This is found at chemists for about £2 a go for a tiny bottle but it'll last forever.

Clove oil is antiseptic and also quite pungent in its own right but not in a cheesey way.

Also I have used it in the past for toothache - make sure you apply sparingly to your teeth though as it burns!
Whenever clove oil is suggested for toothache on the Health board, the dentists tend to go "Noooooooo!" because you can do serious damage to your gums with it.

  • Hi, can anyone help me out here? I caught Nigella Lawson's programme the other week and she was making a chocolate bar with salted peanuts in. I can't find it anywhere - can anyone direct me?

It sounded delish and I would like to try it out.

    Thanks very much.

You can make cheese sauce with parmesan - just remember it's a strongly flavoured cheese and you won't need as much as if you used cheddar or something like that.

A while ago I did a pear and almond sponge pudding which was rather good - as far as I remember it was just chopped pears topped with sponge mix flavoured with a splash of almond essence, then sliced almonds sprinkled on top before baking. I had the leftovers cold the next day, and it was nice like that, too.

    HTH. :)

  • Hi!

I want to make marshmallow rice crispy treats and the recipes all say to line the tin with greaseproof paper before pressing the rice crispy mixture in. I don't have any greaseproof paper but I did see a tv chef once grease a tin then dust with flour and he said nothing will stick to it - anyone know if this will work for me or do I really need the greaseproof paper? I will be pressing the mix into a le creuset stonewear dish :)
