I have made these tonight as had some potatoes to use and want to freeze them. I've frozen fishcakes i've made before and when defrosted they seem to be very wet and hold a lot of water and I suspect these will do the same.

Would I be better breadcrumbing them before freezing? Or shall I cook them, then freeze? Any other suggestions?!

    Thanks :)

Can anyone help me with a new mattress/bed question please?

OH and I need a new mattress. We currently have a divan base with drawers in it, this has a solid top. I am sure I have read somewhere that we need to replace the base and mattress together. Is this correct, if so why? I will buy a new base if it's needed but I don't want to spend my money if the 'you must always get a new base with a new mattress' is just a marketing ploy.

    Thank you

Sounds like a load of nonsense to me - but wait until someone with more know how comes along. I can't think why you would need to and agree it may be consumerism gone mad. Just the way they tell you to wash your hair twice on the bottle.....

Hi - ummmm am not sure but it may depend on the machine? Do they have different jam cycles? If it is morphy richards you can find their instructions on their web site.

Panasonic have instructions on their website too.

In fact whenever I lose an instruction book I go and google. then I find the instruction book again.

I have this type of base & am now on my second replacement mattress. The one that came with the bed lasted a good 8yrs until The Offspring had a particularly nasty bout of gastro _pale_ & it's replacement was another eight years or so but got attacked by Pup :doh:So by my experience, you are spot on about a marketing ploy in this instance. • Hello, I made a fatless sponge today. It rose but I was hoping for much higher. I suspect I need more cake mix (I used 4eggs 4oz flour etc) any other tips please - thank you.

Thank you BigMummaF. I am hoping to make a start on decorating the bedroom this weekend. When it's done I will be buying a new mattress and saving myself the price of the base. Thanks again
