Morning all.......I need some advice......
Im preparing dinner for tomorrow and i would like to know if it would be ok for me to peel potatoes and turnip now, put in pots and fill them with cold water and leave them in the fridge overnight.......would this be ok?? or Do i lose nutrients?? I just want to get ahead, and after ironing for the best part of 5 hours i want a break!!!:jIm going to be frugal:j:DIm going to be frugal:D;)Im going to be frugal;)Beetlejuice Beetlejuice...................:rotfl:0 -
That will be fine mumoffour. Theory says some nutrients will be gone, but I really wouldn't worry. Theory says as soon as you cut a vegetable the nutrients start to go, so unless you can do the 100m dash from garden to pot something has gone missing :rotfl: I cook for an OAP lunchclub and sometimes prepare some of the veggies the day before, never had a problem
( from another mum of four

I'm a mum of four, but they've all left home. A bit of a mixed blessing  Life is easier, but boy do I miss the joy of family always around. Enjoy your children while you have them, all too soon you've achieved your objective ( they're happy, useful adults ) and the house stays awfully tidy, and awfully quiet and a bit boring, truth be told.
