Going to make some kedgeree shortly (if I can drag myself away from here). I know there is going to be too much, my GH Recipe book says it can't be frozen, I'm assuming this is because of the hard boiled eggs. So if I set some aside before adding eggs to freeze do you think this will be okay, has anyone done this and found it didn't work.
Woofles you need to get out of that house. You are going insane:eek: - colinw

apologises for spelling mistakes - google toolbar and I have had a hissy fit and I've lost me spell checker.

I wouldn't hesitate to freeze it. Just make sure you cool it as quickly as possible (because of the rice).

Strangely enough, someone asked exactly the same question a few weeks ago - the relevant discussion is here.

And I don't think there's anything particularly  about not knowing how to make chicken stock - if you've never done it, how would you know? :)
Back after a very long break!

I hope you enjoy it - chicken and veg soup made with home-made stock is one of my favourite winter dishes.

(I'm going to have to roast a chicken again soon just so I can make soup from the carcass!:rolleyes::D)

  • Hi all,

I have been somewhat diverted this last year, so haven't been as great a MSE'r as previously.

I think there used to be a MSE recipe listing didn't there? Does it still exist?

    Thanks

Take a look at this thread on starting out OS ;) There are 3 recipe collections mentioned there.

I'll add this to the Quick Questions thread later :D
