    Quick question from me:

I made cheese pie yesterday - mash spud (with butter and milk), cheese mixed into mash and then cheese topped and grilled. I made 2 portions thinking I'd have 2nd portion tomorrow for tea. But I've been invited out for dinner with a friend now tomorrow, and am out Thursday night too.

So will it be ok in fridge til Friday? I don't really have room in freezer to put it without eating up something!

    TIA

Oh I really need some help pls, I'm cooking mutton curry following a recipe on this board and it says to add grated creamed coco!!!!, what is this?

It comes in a block like this :D I've bought it in the supermarket but you can also get it in Asian shops. If I couldn't get that I'd use a can of creamed coconut ;)

Regards that mash pie - if its gone a grey colour I wouldnt. I had this happen with mash lately , so personally if you are in any doubt I wouldnt (and i would tend to eat stuff if i was sure it was ok!)

regards searching - no , i genuinely don't think people know how to. This forum is a bit more complex than others, so it isn't blindingly obvious. It took me a while to learn how to search, but now I can , it's great the stuff you can find!

But like anything, it's only obvious if you know how ;)

  • thanks for replies re my question.

In relation to the search question. I am a more than frequent MSEr and I find searching the OS board can bring up too many different options! I think it may be because a lot of threads are merged so sometimes you can be bombarded with info when all you want is a simple answer IYKWIM.

    Evening Zippy whatcha cooking?

following me around again i see?:rotfl: I'm cookin up a storm! In my head! Today i had a beany pasta type stoup (started as soup but the pasta expanded so much it's not stoup! ) And HM bread of course ;)

Searching generally brings the best results (for me) when I search titles only - then when stuff has been merged, it's usually under one tidy umberella!

  • Sounds delish! You took so long to answer but that I'm knackered so I'm off to bed now. I made Chocolate caramel Muffins yesterday. Dark chocolate-y sponge with a big spoonful of caramel in the middle. Yum! Not a quick question at all, but just thought I'd say hi. Night night, take care. x

Are you saying that you'd find it easier to search 10 short threads than 1 merged thread, to find your answer  Genuine question - I'd really appreciate knowing the answer ;)

Have you seen this thread by squeaky, which gives loads of tips on searching?
