Right, chicken and veg broth/soup. Made on monday. Ok to eat today? Ive been a disaster with wasting food this week. The tuna and biryani are both being binned, plus probably this portion of soup.

:D I want to make the OH a diabetic low carb cheesecake. The recipe calls for "cream cheese". The only thing I have is soft cheese spread or Dairylea triangles. Is this the same thing? I have to mix it with jelly and it sounds revolting...

Hi Maradatha, cream cheese is philidelphia or some such thing. You can get own brand ones of it too. Hope that helps!

Know what you mean zippy, I found a small tub in the fridge today which I didn't put there, gave it a good sniff, showed it to DH, asked what he thought. He thought it might be yoghourt, I didn't think it smelled like yoghourt although consistency was about right, DS1 says it's half a tin of condensed chicken soup! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I know you can substitue plain flour for self raising, as long as you remember to add in the baking powder ect...
But can you substitute plain flour for strong bread flour, or even wholemeal or chappati flour ???

I have a recipe for courgette chocolate loaf that calls for 200g plain flour, which I dont have. I do have about 100g self raising flour, and wondered if I could make up the difference with bread or wholemeal flour, and had a little raising agent. Oh... and I wanted to double up the recipe as well :o... so that I could use up stuff that needs to be soon.

    Thanks
