This looks like a good thread for me as I am always trying to get rid of the accumulating junk in our house. Basically we moved here nearly 2 years ago and my OH is still in the framemind of keeping stuff 'just in case' as he is RAF and therefore we used to move around every couple of years.

Anyway hi to all, here are my ins and outs for the last 2 days:

    In
New LG Cookie Phone (yay I managed to get a new contract at less than half the price of the old one).
    Phone case
    New pen (to encourage studying)
    Groceries
Easter Eggs (for DH and DS)
Book (instead of egg for me)

    Out
Old mobile - sending to MIL
    Parcel to SIL

Think I'll make a conscious effort to have a proper go at this tom.

Thought trusty cross-trainer was only fit for the tip, but Dear-old-dad repaired it :j

I would also like minimal possessions and am working to get there. Emotional ties to 'old' stuff proves hard for me but |I am making progress.
    Anyway,
    Out:
2 bags to charity shop this week - clothes, books
1 envelope with necklaces to charity shop today. This was a biggie as a couple of oldie sentimental things but they didn't make my heart sing

    In:
2 pints milk and 3 newspapers (sounds excessive but one was a national, one a local weekly and one was free with the weekly. I don't often buy newspapers so this was a treat)

Taking myself out into the garden to ponder things :)

Me, alone for a week while prize hoarder - aka husband - and son off for week's skiing

    Out

A shedful of crud, taken to the tip, including: dead microwave; patio heater cover - gnawed while in shed; stacks of wood to be dried out for the woodburner (getting soaked in the shed, due to collapsing roof); old guttering/pipes/facsia board - kept on the grounds that 'it might come in handy' and a horrible, broken and bashed up oil lamp that 'will be useful when we go camping' - well not in the past three years it hasn't, as it has sat outside the back door for at least that long, and never once been with us on a camping trip in all that time....

A mountain of old papers that had accumulated on the bookcase sorted through and filed or burnt or recycled, according to type!

Tomorrow I'm getting into the back bedroom to have a fling out of the stuff that's accumulated in there. I have my eye on an old pair of skis that came from the tip with a view to selling on ebay, but which turned out to be worthless......
Reason for edit? Can spell, can't type!
