Hi Guys, I'd like to join but don't know where to start
I'm a keeper of things "just in case",
I keep things for sentimental reasons,
and for some reason I rip articles and recipes out of magazines but never actually do anything with them
Can anyone help me??
Where do I start?0 -
I had a great weekend - got rid of 6 black sacks full of bedlinen, clothes and bricabrac to the Hospice Shop who were very grateful. I then put the rest of the quilts, pillows and some towels in vacuum packs so now the cupboard doesn't collapse on you when you open the doors!:D
I have also managed to give away my excess tomato and aubergine plants through freecycle which frees up more space to plant the next batch of seeds! Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!

Hi Wendy,
Welcome to the declutter thread. All is not lost!
Why don't you use them?
Is it because you can't find them or don't think of them?
If you would rather keep them and use them, then treat yourself to a box file or clip folder that you can keep in a kitchen cupboard and label it up so you can find things easily. Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!

Oh, I know where they are, well most of themI suppose I don't use them as I'm a creature of habit. I tend to just cook/bake the things I know we'll eat. I'd hate to go buying specialist ingredients that I wouldn't use again.
I've got rid of most of my cook books form the same reason.0 -

Look at what happened today:
in - nothing
out - one old caravan!!! Yay!!
It was left by the previous owner of the house and we have been wanting to get rid of it for ages, but never got around to photographing and advertising it - last summer made a start, got it out of the barn and put a 'for sale' sign on it. A very nice retired couple went off with it today, I'm so pleased it's gone! We even got some Euros for it. DH wants to use this money to buy materials for building a chicken coop.
Wait a minute - why did we never make a chicken coop out of the old caravan??"Remember that many of the things you have now you could once only dream of" - Epicurus0 -
