Not doing too well with the de-cluttering at the minute - got Conjunctivitus......
OH is doing his bit though and at long last has sorted through his endless pairs of jeans (how many does a bloke need???) and donated a bagful to Heart Foundation - they left a bag at the door otherwise I doubt he'd have bothered to walk to the local charity shop with them..........:rotfl:

Hi all,
can I join in? My and bf live in very small 2 up 2 down which is made even smaller by being full of loads of stuff we dont even use (due to bf being serial hoarder and me being messy and not keen on tidying!)
Have decided that enough is enough and the only way we will have more room is by getting rid of stuff and serious tidying.
So this past week:
Out:
4 bin bags bfs clothes (2 to his family, 1 recycled and 1 to charity shop)
1 bin bag my clothes (split between recycling and charity)
1 mini oven - taken to mums house for her to freecycle
2 cd racks and large round plastic washing basket given to sister
Loads of magazines (going in for recycling later today)
Loads of rubish including bits of paper, old make up and nail varnish been thrown away
In:
usual shopping
new shoes and couple of new tops
Seems like a good start when written down but is only a drop in the ocean!0 -
Hi,
I'm terrible for saving things "for best" and then buying alternative cheaper ones to use instead, while saving the "best ones" for the right moment, which rarely comes.
Also, I have a habit of leaving things partially used when they're just "OK", rather than really nice.
Both of these habits are leading me to spend more than I need to and have more stuff in my house than I need to, so I'm starting this thread to motivate me to use stuff up, freecycle it or chuck it out if I can't do either of the first two.
Give me a boost or boost yourself by joining in!
Today I have:
- used up a lipsalve I didn't really like, but which did the job
- used up a bit of sauce left over from last nights dinner in my lunchtime sandwich
- bagged up a load of baby stuff my baby has grown out of to return to my sister0
