Hello. This looks like the thread for me. I have four boys and I have been so busy with work, the boys and my OU course that clutter has taken over my home. I have blitzed the kitchen this morning and it looks much better. I feel calmer already. I am just about to tackle the living room. I have filing to do and lot's of shredding to be done.
The nightmare room is scheduled for Wednesday. My younger boys' bedroom. I will need to chuck out loads.GC 2011 Feb £626.89/£450 NSD3/7 March £531.26/£450 April £495.99/£500 NSD 0/7 May £502.79/£500

Have filled any available space in wheelie bins with bags of rubbish from garden (non-compostables).
Have listed 20 items on turbolister ready for Thursday - more to do in the morning. Will be glad to sell some stuff as I am currently in danger of being swallowed up by the jiffy bags I have been stockpiling!
Am currently drowning as I am mid way through pulling out stuff to put on ebay.
OH is taking a piece of leftover kitchen worktop round to his parents tomorrow so that's one thing gone from the house!
I have at least one carrier to give to the charity who need bric-a-brac, will get rid of that on Thursday with some luck too.My aim this week is to minimalise my bedroom.. it is a pigsty! It has taken me 5 hours to get through 1/4 of the room
Know how you feel PP! Office is starting to look a bit tidier, but still a long way to go. I have been working on it for two weeks now (on/off).
Wednesday's plan:- Clear out at least one compost heap as they are full up and I need to start filling them again!
- Start filling up compost heaps
- List more items on turbolister.
- Fill another carrier for the charity
- Do some more filing in office
- Start filling carrier bags with pots from garden for freecycle
- Start clearing spare room (have been decorating) to lay floor so I can move furniture back in which is currently on landing!
Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!

It's getting better! Had the decorators in last week and that forced a massive declutter. Yesterday gave two pieces of unwanted furniture to a local recyling centre as I decided that all they were used for was as 'surfaces' to put papers and other clutter on. Gone..
My lovely friend spent a long time setting up a wired network (through mains plugs) so that all the PC accessories could be moved from the living room and off the desk into other rooms and yet still be used. Brilliant, I may just have my living room back. :j
I'm now at the ruthless stage of decluttering, sentimentality has to be tempered with the lack of storage space reality.
Out - lots of things
In - new smaller PC and printer
