In:
- 2 prescriptions
Out:
- 21 glass bottles to recycling
- 8 plastic bottles to recycling
- 4 large dust bunnies hiding under the bookcasetracked down and exterminated [need a dalek smiley here] whilst chasing my bank statement which had slid underneath the shelves
- half a bin bag of assorted iffit from the offsty0 -
OK, I confess I have been hopeless today!
I had so many plans but it went to pot. In fact, it might be easier to say what I haven't done
I have worked my way through the washing basket (does that count?)
I did manage to clear out a sack of rubbish into the wheelie bin and have started using some shredded paper from my black sack full in the cat litter tray to save some pennies and make the litter stretch longer.
As soon as the rain stops, I am going to break up the new TV box to put in the recycling wheelie bin.
Oh well, tomorrow is another day :rolleyes:Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!

OH and I have cleared out the cupboard under the stairs, looks so much better!
OUT:
3 bags of rubbish
LOADS of stuff for freecycle (just listed 31 items!)
I say OUT but none of the above have actually left my house yet :rotfl:
My main task now is getting rid of hundreds of Avon brochures, another Avon rep is coming on Friday to get some. But the rest will have to be thrown, my recycling bin is full and isn't being collected for a while, we don't have a car so can't take them to a local recycle bin...might have to see if we can get somebody to take us this weekend, really want rid of them!
I've also got to sort all my Avon returns out, that should take me oh about a month :rotfl: And then Avon will no doubt rip me off and say I didn't send half of it back
I've chased up my green recycling bin today, requested one in October after they changed us to fortnightly collections and still waiting for one  I've got bags of rubbish all around the house and no way to dispose of them. Always make sure we get rid of the bags with food in first though, otherwise we'd be infested :heart: Think happy & you'll be happy
I :heart2: my doggies

Sunday's Results:
Attic fully emptied and all boxes gone through - mostly sorted and labelled up - few still to sort/ label
greent
Ooohhh - if only....! Well done you, greent. I'm full of admiration.
OUT
I did a bit this weekend: unpacked 3 boxes of china and got it washed and in the cupboards (there's more I haven't made space for yet). I moved the current plates and bowls to a spare kitchenware cupboard in an outbuilding. I removed a number of old dinner plates, egg cups, bowls, cups & saucers from there, and they are now ready to leave the house. I must find out whether there isn't some sort of charity, whatever, that will take them - it just feels awful to have to take them to the dump and throw them in the skip labeled 'tout venant'. They don't even separate out and save the good stuff here!
Also DH took all the recycling to the recycling bins in the village (they don't collect it here). France still has a long way to go....
IN
Nothing has come in, as we haven't been anywhere with a shop.
Today nothing in or out - I have cleaned the house after work. Tomorrow a gruelling day, up very early and back late for meetings in Brussels. Hopefully I can do a bit again on Wednesday."Remember that many of the things you have now you could once only dream of" - Epicurus0 -
Has anyone here heard of a website called www.terapeak.com? I tried the free trial for a while the other week, and thought it was amazing!
It basically researches/analyses eBay, so before you put stuff up for auction you can use it to find out the best reserve price to use, the average end price auctions tend to go for, the optimal number of days to run an auction - all that kind of stuff.
Certainly took the worry/unknowns out of the eBay process when we were selling a few bits. Plus it looks at more than one eBay site, so technically I guess you could optimise the country to which you sell (although we didn't go quite that far!).
Hope that helps anyone still decluttering...Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -
I'm moving in a month, and we started de-cluttering a while back..also got to do the same for my mum who's VERY short of storage space.
Tempted to day hire a skip...I've tried signing up to freecycle, with no response from them.0 -
We moved in here 5 years ago and still have unpacked boxes!

This is going to be a long haul. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

Well I have been following this thread closely as I need lots of inspiration..... I have managed to declutter & then its all come back again, so I try to declutter and I though that as it will take too long to list all this stuff on ebay I will pack it away in the attic.....hmmm well I poked my head up there yesterday afternoon & guess what I did that last time.
So now I have got that much stuff its untrue. It has to be said that I am an hoarder. But this year that has got to be sorted out. So I am a mission my aim is to list at least 10 items aday. I have sorted three bin bags of clothes & old sheets & towels to recycle.
So lets see where that brings us in a month.....
Watch this space.
