The Great Declutter - 18 months on

In: Nowt
Out: 1 huge carrier bags of books- were to be amazoned but didn't sell first time so off they go. Brought them into work for everyone to help themselves.
4 black sacks of rubbish. 1 sack of stripped wall paper.
In back garden ready to go: 4 dining room chairs (which can't be sat on any more) Were keeping the table top for DH to use as a spot when he plasters the dining room but I may be able to get rid of its legs too.
Not exactly decluttered but my lovely hubby put the little sofa back in the lounge last night while I was at work. He then connected up the new plug socket panel thingy (intellipanel?) to the tv and peripherals. He's moved the modem from the dining room desk to the lounge in the tv unit where it fits and suits. He just needs to put it in a different socket on the plug thing cause it won't work if the tv's off ATM! His plan for tonight while I'm at work (he'll be in bed by now though so will hopefully have done it!) is to dismantle and box up the desk top pc ready to go up to our room to be stored for the present. He may even have been able to get the computer desk apart and ready for tip.Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -
Don't think I'll get much de-cluttering done today, got a major tidy up to do. Was sisters 21st on Friday, I did her buffet, saturday was suffering ever so slightly and then went back to work on Sunday, today is my first day off and the place is a bomb site, my plan is to go round with a bin bag, so I may end up throwing some stuff out, but it looks like it will take me all day to get this place back into shape. De-cluttering begins again tomorrow!

I really must resolve to post daily
So much 'stuff'...
Over the last week or so:

Two bin sacks of wrecked toys
Pressure cooker (I was scared of it)
Whisk
Cutlery drainer
George Foreman
Slow cooker
Encrusted yoghurt maker
Old cardboard boxes
Old pushchair
2 ebay parcelsI've ordered some more 'stuff' from ebay, and I am likely to order more and stock up on the Christmas 'stuff'. But I have taken a number of pictures for ebay so I am optimistic that things will improve.

Well seems everyone is still getting rid of stuff.
well for me
IN: Food
OUT: just bits and pieces.
But I did tidy the desk out and ended up with a 5 piles. One for my stuff and one for husband stuff, recycling, rubbish and shredding. The rubbish has gone out and the recycling made it out to the box and shredding went up stairs to be shredded.
On ward and upwards
Yours

Have had a "work from home day" today - amazing how much I can get done when there are no interruptions! As a result I have shredded two boxes of school papers in addition to getting my school paperwork up to date and a number of other jobs which demanded peace and quiet to achieve! So, not really junk from my home directly - but definitely OUT from my school office now!Resolution:

I'm worried that I'm actually going backwards....
There is more on the floor in the [STRIKE]junk[/STRIKE]spare room than ever before. Most of it is supplies of non-perishables that I've stocked up with against not being able to shop due to credit crunch/shortages/ill health, but it looks like a tip in there at the mo. There's just nowhere else to put it; loft is not suitable, as I physically can't get up there.
*Sigh* I have to work out how to tidy it so that I can access the other stuff that lives in there.
On the plus side, I did empty the shredder this morning....:rolleyes:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
I know how you feel, LameWolf - since we had the livingroom redecorated over a week ago, the rest of the house is jam-packed with stuff and looks awful! Trouble is, I like my new-look minimalist livingroom, so don't want to put it all back - but neither do I want to throw very much!!!
Ah well, full house planned for Christmas, so have to get it all sorted by then!Resolution:
