Finished with the hall cupboard:D Keep opening the door to admire it:rotfl: Did you get your understairs done luxor4t

result - found £5 gift card - mind you DD1 will want it as it was in her birthday card (which was still in the sealed envelope and for last year's birthday:o :o:o ) - think it must have been hidden in the cupboard by OH and fallen down behind the shelf - I thought at the time it was strange she'd not had a card from this person....:o :o ooops. Good job I decluttered when I did as it runs out in January.

Also found a coat which I'm not positive is ours......will wait until DD1 gets in and ask her.

Next job - shoe cull.....and the great hat and scarf sorting.

  • Hi all mind if I join in, have at least 2 bedrooms and a garage that need decluttering.

Tonight we will be putting a final coat of paint on the hall, stairs and landing so that I can move the coats and shoes back into the cupboard under the stairs and make a start on the small bedroom.

Been in bed all day so nothing out yet. In nothing either!
Actually, did chuck away another 2 shot glasses that were in the cupboard winking at me. They've not gone yet as bin day isn't till Thursday.
I'm working tonight and tomorrow so Friday will be my first day where I'm able to really get stuck in to having a blitz.
The ironing is to be cleared and then I'm going to be ruthlessly flinging stuff from the dining room so that DH can help me shift the sofa on Friday evening.

    Yes :j !
It is actually the understairs to the attic staircase & not a cupboard. Officially it has a chest of drawers for bedding but unofficially the space around the chest gets crammed with junk: all on full view (well, full view for anyone bent double with their head on one side.... )

I still have to deal with the real understairs cupboard

    IN:
    - a red 'charger' plate for a flannel Xmas cake
    - Xmas stickers (for school)

    OUT:
    - a set of elderly chair covers (recycling via the charityshop)
    - assorted bits of scrap fabric ( as above)
    - lots of odd bits of paper from the desk (recycling)
    - a faded piece of fabric art from my textiles gcse box
    - posted another Greenmetropolis book

Ended up with FOUR bags of rubbish this week :o
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.
