Did well this morning - I remembered I'd got some clothes in OH's wardrobe, and considering the length of time I'd forgotten about them for they clearly weren't anything I wanted to wear! Result = One full (and piled high) laundry basket of clothes and one full sack of clothes to the Hospice shop, and one empty cupboard above that wardrobe!
Hopefully we'll get started on the decorating tomorrow......🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Oh I do feel depressed - we're about to get our livingroom redecorated this coming week, so today have spent hours moving pictures, photos, CDs, books, videos, DVDs etc up into the small bedroom - so much stuff!! Yet I've parted with less than two carrier bags full. When the room is nice and fresh again I don't want it as cluttered...but I love all of it - and next time DGD and her parents come that bedroom needs to be useable once more. No time to build a large extension....help!
Actually, I forgot that we have taken a tattered old leather chair and stool, a manky rug and a completely useless vax machine from the conservatory up to the skip, so some stuff has vanished...Resolution:

Haven't gotten stuck in quite yet to the task I set myself - both the decluttering and the ebaying. I've read the ebaying guide but am feeling daunted by the prospect of ebaying little things like clothes, books, etc. that would need posting (haven't done the posting thing before). Any tips on where to get say a large roll of brown paper, or else envelopes in bulk? Thanks.
We have been gathering some things for ebaying/freecycle in a corner, and tonight I've at least made a list of what we've got, as a start....
However, due to my DH's initiative, I can put something in the 'OUT' column for today! :j
IN: groceries
OUT: old DVD player

Didn't get as far as the hall cupboard this weekend so looks I'll be joining you on Monday luxor4t:D For a family of four we seem to have far more coats then necessary.
Went to a car boot today (so the decluttering has sort of gone into reverse:o ). Did get some bits and pieces for Christmas, a couple of tops for DD2, and some veg (so didn't need to go to supermarket) so it wasn't as bad as it could have been.

Saffouri - I tend to get friends and family to save any jiffy bags they have and re-use these for clothes - packing the clothes in clear bags with packing slip first so if by some remote chance the innards come adrift from the outer there's still the recipient's address showing (not that I've had this happen but I think it looks more professional). Then I print the address and secure to the parcel with brown packing tape, and put my 'from' address on the back. I always mention on my listing that I prefer to recycle packaging materials where possible but that all items are packed appropriately, i.e. bubble wrap, jiffy bags, etc.

you all have inspired me. Thats it after work tomorrow I am getting tucked into my wardrobe and getting rid of any of my clothes that i havent worn. My spare bedroom is full of clothes cause i have no hanging space for them. So at least if i clear out the wardrobe ill have some space and get my spare room into a spare room again
Thanks for the inspiration:T0
