Hall cupboard is over halfway done:D

okay, so it doesn't sound a lot but it was crammed with 'stuff' - already have half a box load of stuff to put on freecycle. Also came across half a dozen keys that I have NO idea what they're for - and neither does hubby:rotfl: (have put them in a small box at back of cupboard for now as I just know if I chuck them I'll suddenly remember they're the only key to something vital.....

The two shelves now look far more organised - i.e. box of lightbulbs, tin of nightlights, box of vacuum 'bits', coolbox with picnic stuff, iron. Just have to make sure it stays that way now......that's the hardest part.

Will try and do the shoe box tomorrow as well- fairly sure that DD2 doesn't need 3 pairs of wellies...:rotfl: :rotfl:

    p.s.
OUT: nothing yet but loads pending:T

IN: Realised that DD2 needed something for this week's 'Harvest for the Hungry' and asked OH to pick up rice, pasta, plain flour or tinned tomatoes ......and he only went and picked up ALL the suggestions...:o - oh well, we were running short of most of it ourselves.

  • :A Having read all the posts on de-cluttering, I feel inspired to have a big declutter. I have hundreds of books that i have read once or twice, and have not been able to part with, however if i an get some money for them am going to be ruthless. Does anyone know the best place for selling 2nd hand books, without exception all in excellent condition. Would appreciate some hints and tips.

Also going to sort out not used any more toys and games that kids have outgrown, dont play with anymore. will keep you updated with my progress as am finding that reading various forums are keeping me going as still very new to money saving and need all support i can get as spending is my weakness, especially when have a stressful day at work!!
 grocery reduction planning now down to 50.00 per week
seriously on track to be debt free in 12 months.......

Could I join please? I have some serious decluttering to do and I have been doing bits but now I need to be ruthless so it's ebay, Amazon and GreenMetropolis & Freecycle until the end of October when I'm due to start another course and from experience I get very little done on the decluttering side!

  • Am planning a big clearout session again on Sunday. I have more to dispose of in the office, stuff to list on ebay and a burn-up due in the garden.

I also need to put away the holiday stuff that is now all laundered and needing packing up into boxes for the next holiday.
:D Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!:D

Getting stuck into the de-cluttering now, but I have noticed an unexpected side effect: places I thought were tidy now look really messy & cluttered compared to the former 'trouble spots' that are now clutter free.

I think I shall be running round the house like a demented hamster in a wheel, throwing things out until every room is empty!

Today I am going to catch up on my sewing (= finish the mending so I can put it all away!) then sort out my fabric stash.
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.
