any shop that sells items with chargers, legally has to take them off you for recycling. part of the WEEE scheme :) drop em at currys or a Carphone warehouse or something x

thanks PrettyPaula! I will definitely try that.
    :A

I must emphasise that I try hard very hard not to send ANYTHING to landfill - there was no way that landfill was an option for my carrierbagful of chargers, I should have made that clearer in my post! We try to keep our rubbish to less than a carrier bag a week, so if anyone from my council is on here, a tax rebate is always most welcome :rotfl:

Out - a bag of kids coat-hangers - shhhhhhhh. Mr S has a thing about not throwing any coat-hangers away. Last year I found a huge bag of hangers that said 18-24 months on them, so too small to fit our kids clothes as our youngest is 6 years! I put them in the recycling bin at the Tesco Extra store as it's the only place I know that takes them.

Also had a sort out of xmas cards.:eek: I had envelopes without cards, cards without envelopes, special cards I'd bought and not sent, written out cards I'd not delivered. cards and envelopes now matched up, the spare cardsto be cut for gift tags, the spare envelopes put into general usage. The special cards never written out all sorted and I only need to buy 3 special ones this year.:T and I decided to open the written out cards undelivered just in case there was a howler on there, like someone's now ex's name or a child's name omitted and it was just as well I did :o

In - few more xmas pressies and some wrapping paper.
  • I'm working long night shifts at the moment and not getting any time to really declutter; I am sleeping all day, but on my next day off, or day with a shorter night shift, I am determined to make some real headway as I keep tripping over things on my floor even though my bedroom's massive.
