I can't bear to send stuff to landfill, have tried freecycle and can't find my camera charger to list on ebay! Is there a company like Mazuma, Envirofone etc that recycles chargers???
Chargers shouldn't got to landfill since the introduction of the WEEE directive (I realise this sadly isn't enforceable for householders), so you local recycling centre should have a section for electrical waste where they will be separated for resuse or recycling.
Alternatively, most of the phone recycling schemes (e.g. foneback) take chargers, manuals and accessories - they can then match them up with the phones they've been sent or send them for remanufacturing/recycling & material recovery.
Wilf - I'm sure I've asked before... do you live in a tardis??? I don't understand how there is still stuff coming out of your house!0 -

I'm back - haven't been around since the start of August - so much other stuff going on and money saving, decluttering etc have all gone out the window a bit
But I want to try and get back into in gently over the next few weeks so I can hit the ground running January :A
So over the last few months the big things we've done are:
buy a new filing cabinet thing for our office and fill it, and file all the stuff from the floor away too  - need to keep on top of that now.
Do a big de-clutter in the garage - completely filling the boot and back seats of our focus with all sorts of stuff
We've also been very good at putting paper etc straight in the recycling bins which is good and helps the mess.
I have got a few new clothes recently so I need to declutter my wardrobe and we got a new tv but the old one in currently in the garage so that needs sorting....
