Tattycath, I have 3 sets of bedding per bed and a quilt and throw so I can remove the duvet in summer and just use the quilt and /or throw over a sheet.
Towels, I'd say 1 bath towel and 2 hand towels per person with 1 extra set."The purpose of Life is to spread and create Happiness" :j0 -
We have 2 sets of bedding per bed and 2 bath sheets and sets of handtowels and bathmats (but there is only OH and me). I set to use whilst the other is in the wash.Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

Hello all!
Haven't posted for a while - but great to see so much stuff going out in the last couple of weeks from all of you!!
tattycath - I work on 2 sets of bedding per bed and I also have an extra single bed set unisex style for sleepovers. I have just bought 2 new sets for our new bed & bedroom and will freecycle the old 2 sets when we move in there (hopefully in 2 weeks!) Towels - I have a thing about towels - I love fluffy towels! We (DH and I) have new towels for our new bathroom (xmas & birthday pressies from my mum) - 2 bath towels and 1 bathsheet each and 2 matching hand towels between us. The children have 2 bath towels each and we have a pile of hand towels which get used all around. (We also have 1 beach towel each) That leaves us with 2 spare bath towels which get used for guests. And I then have a large pile of bathsheets cos I do massage - but they are client towels only!! (although have been pressed into use when we had loads of family staying one Xmas for almost a week)
IN:- New coving for bedroom and landing - all fitted by a very nice man!
- Skirting board fitted by same nice man in my kitchen - has been sat in garage for over a year, so it's a sort of in (but definitely a declutter!)
- bday pressies for DS1 (bday last week)
- coming home outfit from hosp for new baby
- new nightshirt and PJs for me
- new peg bag (large one!)
- large box of spatone sachets for me!!
- hubby's redundancy payment
- old peg bag totally ripped (cost me 50p a year ago in tesco sale, so that's ok)
- small amount of clothes to charity
- small amount of kids clothes to attic ready for next one!
- some broken plastic cars (freebies from magazines)
- lots of carpet samples - we're having some new carpets last month so had these dropped off a few weeks ago so we could choose
- couple of items returned to next (I ordered 3 sets of bedding & chose my 2 favourites once they were all here)
- some of hubby's redundancy payment paid to mortgage
- LOADS of card/ plastic/ paper recycling
- Some paper filing done, some old filing removed & shredded for compost bin

A few more cosmetics/toiletries have been used up/sold today.
Also some paper and bits into the recycling last night and planted some more seeds. My strawberry plants arrived today but will get them in the garden tonight (currently soaking) so they'll be 'out' very soon.
Have made a list for the weekend which I will try and work my way through - but out for most of it so it's going to be a busy one :eek:Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000
