I a bit of a lurker and occasional poster on here. the house has been a total tip for the last few months inthe run up to getiing the kitchen done - but it's nearing completion now so the tidy up begins...

We've had 5 trips to the dumps with packaging alone this week!!
also I made a start on DS1s room generating 2 bin bags and 5 video games to be sold at the Game shop - which is a big leap forward as he won't normally get rid of anything even his old baby toys!

    onward with more chucking....
Just call me Nodwah the thread killer

I've had today off work, so have done a bit of decluttering in the spare room, not as much as I would have liked - but it's a start!

    In

    Nothing

    Out

Carrier bag full of wedding brochures (have decided to get married abroad) and old magazines into recycling.

    Pending

Carrier bag full to go to charity shop
Added more to Ebay pile, still haven't got round to listing anything though.

Have discovered I'm far more sentimental than I first thought, couldn't bear to throw out my old college work or birthday cards! But then looking at it logically, I don't NEED them to function and I hadn;t missed them until I looked in the box. Plus my house will be much tidier if I can get rid of more stuff, so why is it so hard?

    Quick update

Conservatory done, we were sitting in there until 10 o'clock last night, it was lovely :T

Did a car boot over Easter and sold loads, so making inroads into one bedroom.

Even starting to declutter the freezer :D

  • Am leaving my current full time job at the end of next week, and have the last three years digital photos on my computer here.

So this morning I printed out all the ones I wanted, brought my photo albums in along with all photos ex BF took on his camera and put everything in the albums.

So have decluttered my hard drive at work, and filed a huge stack of photos from the kitchen drawer at home.

Only taken me a year to get round to it!
